Edit: in the recent Richard Herring podcast thing, Reece did ask Richard (a TM veteran and Champion of Champions) if he'd be good at TM and what time it took to film the tasks. PLEASE REECE, BE UP FOR IT. SERIES 16, 17, 18, I DONT CARE!!!

And they ended up doing the number 9 bus episode in a way only Reece and Steve could. They got all the publicity shots done with Robin Askwith in a type of On The Buses pastiche. Big red London route master bus on the publicity photos. And then it was pulled at the last minute and replaced with that quiz hosted by Lee Mack…

I wonder if that was that was their way of saying ,’f***ing No 9 bus episode. 😤 Right…we’ll show you what happens, ****s! 😂

I think they used the fact they already mentionned the bus episode idea in older interviews to bring it back in more recent ones, so people have that in mind, then the promo of series 8, in order to both cover the real episode (they wanted it to be a surprise, a bit like Deadline, but they had to announce something in the trailer and promo), and to create a narrative (fans asked for the bus episode for years - they talk about it in interviews for years - they make sure people know about the bus demande in more recent interviews just before the promo and trailer reveal so all the aandom is at the same page - reveal of the real episode). So I think it's less about the bus episode than using it as a cover. But that's just my personal analysis, I can be wrong! ^^

I'd hate to make Reece even more furious, but I do genuinely believe they should do something else. 'Every week it's something else!' he says, and yeah, that's it, I'd like them to do something where it's not something else every week, but a continuing characters.

Well, guess we'll see what they choose to do next! Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be great.
