Keep on Trying
British Sea Power Lyrics

Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Sechs Freunde

If you must act like a beast of the field
Oh, what does it yield
There's a hole in the atmosphere
Every time you speak
All your prayers, your prayers, your prayers
They are on hold again
Your life lessons, lessons, lessons
All can wait
Just for today

Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you

When the hawks of the city fall
Fall like little thrills
And tomorrow is a place that you, you can't go
All your questions, questions, questions are on hold again
All your brethren, brethren, brethren are in bed again
And you can't say

Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying Rudy
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde) Oh Rudy

Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying Rudy
Sechs Freunde (Rudy, Rudy)

Can't we stay, can't we stay
Can't we stay, can't we stay
So keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
'Cause you're a product of your own dimensions now
So keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you

Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you
Sechs Freunde (Sechs Freunde)
Just keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying will you

Harry Groombridge

Most underrated band ever

Harry Groombridge

@S Alex Looking back on this now, I can say I was completely wrong haha! I love all their stuff but their first album is definitely not my favourite. It’s brilliant, but open season, DYLRM and VD are even better! Machineries of Joy is still my absolute favourite and always has been. Really really excited for the new album though it sounds brilliant so far!

@Harry Groombridge You got your wish, imho! :)

I heard these guys back in 2008 with No Lucifer and Lights out for darker skies, both great songs, it's nice to see they are still making music, their songs take a few listens, but they grow on you over time, the new stuff is great

Massive fan of this band and the have been underrated through their life span. But they've started to get more recognition as their albums have become more " shall we say" what more people will listen to?

I've seen this band so many times in manchester, in small gigs, i even stole a beer out of martin nobles hand when he was crowd surfing, great fun they are. Seen them at jodrell bank where they live transmitted the gig into space too. I really grew up loving them and they are a band you feel a close affiliation with. I bought many of their memorabilia, and they even send you personal touches like written postcards from countries they've visited.

The decline of british sea power and open season are untouchable, near perfect albums for me, i cant believe the amount of friends i've tried to get into this band and they just weren't having it and think the likes of razorlight are better haha. do you like rock music was another great album and i remember going travelling and really anticipating valhalla to be released. It finally came out while i was travelling in india, i went to an internet cafe and downloaded it there, and it was the first time i've been disappointed in the band. I thought it lacked the energy and creativity of the other albums. I thought it was maybe just a blip but since then they have never gotten close to their early stuff, not even to do you like rock music. There are shades of the british sea power of old on this album but its still no where near the standard i've come to expect from them. #

no matter what, il always keep listening to them, and they are hugely under rated based on their first 3 albums, but theres also some other great underrated bands like dr dog, plants and animals, the pains of being pure at heart, portugal the man (but again early stuff), born ruffians, the rural alberta advantage and so on.

I really disagree honestly. Valhalla dancehall and machineries of joy aren’t bad, but they try to do something new instead of the same old. Personally I love all of their albums for different reasons

I think they started to lose their way with Valhalla Dancehall, and then lost it completely with Machineries Of Joy. Valhalla still had a lot of good on it, Machineries almost nothing, and it's the only album of theirs that I've properly given up with. They're just treading water at this point.
