Originally formed by two highschool pals ( Tiyo Paksi, Reza baita) a while after they quit from their former band. With the likes of Little joy, leftover cuties, The beatles as their daily influences, it wasn’t long to realize that they have a same appetite in music n ideas to start a band popped all of sudden to satisfy their passion in music.
Arfan whose an ex-drummer from Tiyo Paksi’s former band joined a while later to fill the drum position. And a month later Reza baita brought two other friends ( Arastri P Hartini & Jamal F Hardy ) to fill the Vocal and Bass. And together they formed a group which they called Britta Nordica (means “Something That Breathtaking”).
Starting from laughing, jamming, to covering some songs from little joy,they started to find their own “joy”. “Just imagine when those vibra Jazzy vocals blends with single coil solid maple & humbucking hollowbody mahogany then punched by solid alder bass & tickling beats from pearl old drums” seems define the characteristics of Britta Nordica’s sound and songs that make them stand out from their scene.
Colaborating with Andry Bayu from Celestial Sphere Recordings they finished their first E.P (“Pursuit of Happiness”) which’ll be released this year (2011). Unfortunately a month after finished their E.P, Arfan decided to quit from the band to concentrate on his carrer. And lefts Arastri P Hartini (vocals) | Tiyo Paksi (guitar) | Jamal F Hardy (bass) | Reza Baita (guitar) , as it’s latest formation. And at this very moment they just want to have fun and share the joy with you people.
