After a lot of shopping for a new label and little interest, they decided to create and release the "Black Death" LP themselves. For 5 years they worked hard in their Caverns of Thunder basement-studio.
After that, Brocas Helm made a couple of (unreleased) demos, mostly to get a label-deal so they could do a high-quality cd release. Meanwhile, although labels have showed some interest but not enough to actually sign Brocas Helm, Brocas Helm released the "Skullfucker" single.
Brocas Helm later released a live album, "Black Death in Athens", and a new opus, "Defender of the Crown".
In 2011 Brocas Helm announced their breakup at the German Keep It True festival. However, in May 2012 they performed at Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse in Joiliet, Illinois.

In all of the good
Doing good things
That you know that you should
Never have to worry
About ever being free
Satan cast his spell
Lightness is his darkness
Darkness is his magic
If you don't listen
You'll wind up
something tragic
Starts with the evil
In all of the good
Doing good things that
You know that you should
Satan's prophets
Satan casts his spell on you
Satan's prophets
Satan casts his spell
You played with your magic
But you dropped out of school
Learning bad things
Never did nothing for you
You idle hands were
The Dark Lord black tools
Now the Reaper will harvest
And leave nothing for you
You could have walked
the white line
The straight and narrow road
Pledged glory to Jesus
Sanctified your soul
But no you took a gamble
For that pot of gold
You came up a winner but
You still lost your soul
The opening lines of the song "Satan's Prophets" suggest that good and evil are intertwined and that engaging in any good deed does not protect a person from the influence of evil. The song implies that the devil has the power to cast a spell on anyone, including good people. The lines "Lightness is his darkness/Darkness is his magic" suggest that the devil's powers are not easily recognizable and that they can work in mysterious ways. The phrase "you'll wind up something tragic" conveys the idea that falling under the devil's spell can lead to a catastrophic end.
The second stanza of the song tells the story of an individual who has chosen the wrong path in life. The lyric encourages people not to be idle as this can lead them to become tools of the devil. The verse suggests that indulging in bad things is not the way to be successful in life. The phrase "Reaper will harvest/And leave nothing for you" implies that an individual who chooses to follow the devil's path will meet a tragic end. The final stanza suggests that the individual in the song had the option of choosing the "white line" or the path of righteousness, but instead chose the path of gambling for wealth. In the end, the individual wins the game but loses their soul.
