🥳🥳🥳Thanks for watching you guys! Ps you are ALL amazing. I’m totally blown away that we are nearly at 2,000 subscribers 🥳🥳🥳

What’s your method for damaged leaves?

Ke Le

Just want to give a shout out to your cat! 0:50, 1:39, 3:10 Lower left corner: Kitty! So glad you have a cat. My cat's name is Luna. I've had many cats; they are fascinating animals, and I love them.

Hahahaha yea that’s coal. He’s trying to get into the grow tent because his cat nip is in there actually

The Mighty Mustache

Out of site out of mind, I pluck anything that looks wrong lol. I got plenty of leaves to work with though.

Gardening In Canada

It’s so true! With anything, I do it with my indoor plants as well.

Perfect timing once again. I just noticed a couple of my plants outside had a few leaves with brown spots.

@Gardening In Canada Zone 5 (Iowa, USA), but I think we match up well in summer.

BTW you have me geeking out at the USDA soil survey site - found out I have Nicolett loam - and a lot of other info that I'm trying to make sense of :).

Gardening In Canada

Hahah what are the chances 😂 I actually base my videos on stuff I’m actively doing in the garden so it would make sense if you are around a zone 3 stuff would match up 🤣

I'm glad you made this video. It's good to hear from an expert when and why to remove leaves. I've been nervous about pruning leaves. I have a patio container garden growing some vegetables. I sure do remove leaves that are mostly dead (I keep after them). I'm learning to be a little more aggressive with leaves that look diseased, also. I think if there's a part of the plant that's not helping, then it could very well be hurting the plant. I hear you - don't remove more than 30 percent. I'm fortunate that none of my plants have been sick enough or had enough die-off to force me to remove anywhere near that much. I'm looking forward to someday seeing your video on the plains biomass. A few months ago I saw a video made by a rancher who's been listening to soil scientists. He is adjusting his ranching style to work with the biome, with nature, instead of trying to bend nature to the will of ranchers. People are hearing you and your colleagues. Thank you!!

That’s awesome! It’s definitely important all the Great Plains plants and soil were built around massive herds of bison. Having them removed from that landscape is a huge detriment to the ecology of the land. Even something like a grass fire is a needed ecological force.
