Roam
Broken Twin Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Now that you're free
Finally facing the sky
Balancing on a tide
Between day and night
Now that you're free
Now that the stars are aligned
I hope you know what to find
I hope you make up your mind
Roam
You're on your own
And the world is new
Infinite oceans of blue
Now that you're free
Roam
You're on your own
And the world is new
Infinite oceans of blue
Hanging all over you
Now that you're free
Finally facing the sky
Balancing on a tide
Between day and night
Now that you're free
Now that the stars are aligned
I hope you know what to find
I hope you make up your mind
Roam
You're on your own
And the world is new
Infinite oceans of blue
Now that you're free
Roam
You're on your own
And the world is new

Infinite oceans of blue
Hanging all over you

Overall Meaning

The song "Roam" by Broken Twin seems to touch on themes of freedom and the unknown, encouraging the listener to embrace the adventurous spirit of exploring a new world. The lyrics convey a sense of tranquility as the subject of the song appears to have found peace now that they are free. The first verse starts with the subject finally facing the sky, as if they are seeing the world in a new light. They are balancing on a tide between day and night, illustrating the idea that they are in a transitional phase between old and new.

The second verse repeats the idea that the subject is free and the stars are aligned for them. This line suggests that the universe is working in their favor and they are at the start of an unknown adventure. The repetition of the line "Roam, you're on your own" emphasizes the idea that the subject is entirely responsible for their own journey. The chorus encourages the listener to embrace the unknown and explore the world with an open mind. The oceans of blue represent the vast, uncharted territory ahead.

Overall, the song seems to be a message of hope and encouragement to anyone who may be feeling lost or stuck in their current situation. The tone is gentle and reassuring, with a whimsical quality to the lyrics that emphasizes the freedom and endless possibilities of exploring the world.

Jack Oakes The director explained they wanted to end the series on a high. Four seasons was perfect, they came told an incredible story and ended it. Banshee was a really awesome show, loved it since it first aired unil it's last. 😊

Jack Oakes

I don't understand why they stopped filming 😕
