Golden
Brooke Borg Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

They think we're rebels
But we just fight to be
Letting go of the devils
Ain't got nothing on me

We've got the power, the power, the power
To make it right
We've got the power, the power, the power
To change the night

So don't let anybody take your glow
Take a stand, you own the show
And rise up high
And feel alive

So don't let anybody dim your light
Just because it shines so bright
Cause we're golden, golden
We're golden, golden
We are

We battle on, we are soldiers
No one can hold us down
Turn your back on your worries
No one can take your crown

We've got the power, the power, the power
To make it right
We've got the power, the power, the power
To change the night

So don't let anybody take your glow
Take a stand, you own the show
And rise up high
And feel alive

So don't let anybody dim your light
Just because it shines so bright
Cause we're golden, golden
We're golden, golden
We are
Oh...
Oh...
Oh...

So don't let anybody take your glow
Take a stand, you own the show
And rise up high
And feel alive

So don't let anybody dim your light
Just because it shines so bright
Yeah, we're golden, golden

We're golden, golden
We are

Problem is, a lot of maltese are blind to the fact that when they see a fantastic song like Brooke's and then the island's biggest celebrity comes on, they parade the biggest celebrity and forget about the better song

Personally, Kingdom and Golden were far superior in my opinion

@charlottem4853

That's very true, at the same time Ira had a lot of supporters that when they were about to announce the winner I had a feeling that Brooke was going to win but a lot of people shouted chameleon which made the host make Ira win. That's my theory. But like you said they chose it for her not the song
