Fraser became a member of the Australian Christian music group Hillsong Worship from 2005 to 2010. She rejoined the group in 2016 and was a songwriter and lead vocalist for the Grammy winning song "What a Beautiful Name" (credited under her married name Brooke Ligertwood).

"Shadow Feet" is a reference to C.S. Lewis' theme of Living in "Shadow Lands" until we reach our true home land with HIM. Brooke Fraser is a Lewis fan. See the last chapters of THE LAST BATTLE and the name of the play and movie named after Lewis. As old Professor Digory would say to those who did not understand the Shadow Lands, once he left and stood in Aslan's Country "Oh, dear, It's in Plato, its all in Plato. I am 15 and Christian, and a singer. Brooke is my role-model. I hope i can sing about God around the world someday and inspire people like she does. God has given me the gift of singing and i want to use it for His glory. If Brooke could do it, i could too :) And i didn't believe this until I started listening to her music. God is amazing !
