I saw my first Amy Walker video about 10 years ago, and she really nailed accents from anywhere on the planet, so I sometimes search on youtube for more of her videos, and I find good videos like yours! Not everyone can do accents spot on, or dead on. Accents are like celebrity impressions. Only some of society can do them where they sound great, and you did great!

As a proud Canadian that sounds just like an American, I’m so happy that you distinguished between a few different dialects. I didn’t know you were Canadian and when I saw that you were going to do accents I thought, ‘Here we go, she’s going to do the stereotypical “Canadian” accent of which, no one I know or ever met in any province I’ve been to in Canada actually sounds like.’ But I was delighted that you presented a few different ones eh? Ya, we do say eh a lot. And we are overly polite. I think they are related as we make a statement then politely add the eh to make it a question that is up for debate or input. Polite eh?

In Britain (London, South East) we often add "Yeah" on to the end of a sentence. So; "We'll go to that pub, yeah?" or "Don't kick that ball near my car, yeah." 😊

as a Londoner, that London accent was very good. little bit of advice, most people in London don't speak that posh, most of us will speak politely but we tend to not pronounce certain letters and speak in slang and use shortened versions of words a lot, but apart from that you would fit in quite well in Chelsea and Kensington.

I grew up in New Zealand and I’m half Aussie half Kiwi and I have to say you did a really good accent for both of these countries ! I like doing accents myself. I do the over the top Californian one like you, Russian, an Irish in a bit of English. Not trained in them either and I do comedy myself so yes I totally get that no offence thing…😅 could you maybe try South African one? I shared it on FB and this is what I wrote: I follow a lot of people that do accents, and I am super impressed by this woman!!! IMHO her Irish and Scottish accents were very good. The Canadian ones were fun being that I only one singular Canadian accent. Her Aussie/NZ sounded great. California was hilarious. Her Russian accent was OK. Hey @Kallmekris: Great demonstration. And don't worry too much. To their native speakers, imitated accents always sound unauthentic. They don't notice the details that make their accents so special for foreign listeners. I'm from the middle of Germany, where the accent actually is standard German. Since I love imitating many of the other German accents, I kind of feel in the same boat with you, when it comes to reactions by native accent users.

I think you did great. Going from one to another can be challenging for some but you do it pretty seamlessly. The only times you get wobbly are when you get concerned about what to say or ya try too hard. You recover quickly though, so good on ya for that.

It wasn't until like 4 months ago did I realize just how irish people from Newfoundland sound. I know the history yet it still blew my mind when this lady on Tiktok said she was from Canada. I honestly thought she was lying because I just couldn't wrap my head around how she spoke 100% in an irish accent. Just goes to show!

After visiting South Carolina, USA, I found the key to their distinctive accent is (1) talking slower and (2) limiting jaw movement, for the "genu-ine Suthern dra-wull t' 'ap-pe-ah''". It's a friendly, down home, comfy feeling! I love it! The people are friendly and are generally as laid back as they sound!

Your accents were amazing. Really good job in nailing them. My only criticism I have to point out is the Brooklyn accent. Being a native New Yorker when you first talk about Harley Quinn it sounds like an old school Italian Brooklyn accent but then kind of shifts to more of a Jersey accent. Still amazing job.

My personal favorite accent has to be the South African accent. More specifically the White South African/Afrikaner accent. It sounds like a mix between a British English and Dutch accent which is both pretty bad-ass and intimidating.

The actor Sharlto Copley immediately comes to mind when I think of the South African accent.

Great job, Kris! As an Aussie, I can say your Aussie accent is one of the better efforts. For such a large country, Australia is surprisingly without identifiable accents. It's pretty much impossible to place an Aussie by accent. NZ is pretty close to Aussie (or vice-versa), except for vowels. To an Aussie ear, Kiwis replace their 'i's with a short 'u'. So 'fish and chips' would sound like 'fush and chups' or even f'sh and ch'ps (the vowels being disappearingly short). Other vowels can be slightly different as well.

I think you did alright on most of them. I'd love it if you could try a Philadelphia accent sometime. Also, Chicago. I know you kind of hit Chicago with the Midwestern accent, but a Chicago accent is Midwestern with more attitude.
Funny note: Back in the mid-90s, I traveled to Europe and met a bunch of Americans from all over. The guys from the East Coast--mostly New York and Washington DC, said my generic American accent (I'm from the Pacific Northwest) sounded Canadian. I took it as a compliment. Later in the same trip, I met a dude from Toronto and another from Michigan--they both sounded accentless to me. I've got family from Michigan and they definitely had a distinct accent (not always noticeable though, since they speak at 100 miles an hour {160kph}) but this guy wasn't from the Detroit area, so he just sounded generic North American.
Question: do you ever hear people saying the word, "spendy," as in, "six bucks for a cup of coffee is just too spendy to me"? I ask because I grew up saying it and only found out a few years ago it's a distinctly Pacific Northwest word. I'm not sure if it's used in British Columbia or if it's just an Oregon and Washington State thing.

Very good, I was a stage actor for many years, and accents were somewhat of a forte, although not as precise as you nailed them. Maybe give a go next time with Latin American and/or Asian accents. Very entertaining. And I especially love the Russian accents you do in youir Youtube shorts.

I thought they were great. I love the Irish and Scottish accents but I think you sounded great with all of them. I myself have a normal American accent (although that feels like an oxymoron to me) but I grew up in Kansas and when I am angry or worked up my Midwestern accent shows itself and it can be very distracting and frustrating lol. Good job though. I didn't think any of them sounded offensive and I think more people need to learn how to laugh at themselves.

You nailed Brooklyn girlfriend. All the borough do differ with the Manhattanites being the strangest/ hardest to dial. I’m Northern Virginia but when I lived in new yourk I knew many Born and raised Manhattanites that sounded as if they were from another country all together. The only ones really that sound like Nyorkers are the ones that immigrated in from other boroughs
Anyways Hungarian Gypsie , the Israeli , and the italian are my suggestions.. Hungarian gypsies have the typical Hollywood vampire Transylvanian accent type of thing going on in their sound which can be very beautiful and endearing but at the same time hypnotic

Subscribed for the Australian accent. First attempt was bang on, didnt hear any discrepencies. When you tried to be steve irwin I could tell, hahahaha. But 11/10 for the first version of our accent. I live in Whistler B.C for 3 years back in 2011, so actually i've heard so many of these accents its eerie how good you are at it.
