We were from Southern California and started playing when we were quite young... me, at 11 or 12... Dennis (Lead Guitar) got permission to quit school in the 9th grade... so he never went ho High School... he studied instead B. B. King, Albert King, and Freddie King for years, we used to be a blues band, but we could play anything...Blues, Jazz, Country & Western, Oldies (stuff from the 50's)... we went with the surf stuff b/c that's where the bucks were... Did you know we even did some studio work with Phil Spector? We did lots of backup tracks for him at Gold Star Studios in Hollyweird CA... Well bud, time for dinner... i feel you i searched high and low for this song when i first heard it and then found out it was the centurions a rather obscure surf rock group but they are awesome the guitar and dirty saxophone make this song so laid back yet with tension im glad to see tarantino or the music director called this song for that scene it fits pefectly
