Next to Me
Bruno Bardo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I′m holding a beer in my hands
Because i can't hold your hands anymore
You used to walk by my side
Ahora camino solo conchatumadre

I need you tell me why
Should i keep walking
Or should i cry
But you′re
I am so tired
I'll take a sit

And next to me
There's a man
Who tells me
Tu cerveza es mi cerveza
Y mi cerveza es tu cerveza
Vamos a chupar por ellas
And next to me
There′s a man
Who tells me
That life isn′t so bad so bad tonight

I want to lay in my bed
I want to stay in this world
But you're not here
Y donde están las demás
I need you to tell me
Why they all disappear

Y si las busco en el mar
Y si las busco en el sol
Solo te encuentro a ti

And next to me

In these lyrics, Bruno Bardo is expressing his feelings of loneliness and missing somebody. The song starts with him holding a beer in his hands because he can't hold the hands of the person he loves anymore. He used to walk with that person by his side, but now he walks alone. The line "Ahora camino solo conchatumadre" is a Spanish slang phrase meaning "Now I walk alone, f****** hell". He then asks this person to tell him why he should keep walking or cry. He continues to express his tiredness and takes a seat.

He then describes the man next to him who offers him a beer and tells him that his beer is his beer and they should drink for them. This man tells him that life isn't so bad tonight. Bruno then expresses his desire to lay in his bed and stay in this world, but the person he misses isn't there with him. He wonders where all the other people have disappeared and if he tries to find them, he will only find this person he misses.
