We have lived since ancient times,
Even so, we are children in this world,
We have watched many peoples live and pass on,
But we are not saddened,
We see the gentle truth within the thorny bracken,
Which we learn by waiting, watching,
We will not stand for anyone, we will not show ourselves,
You must stand for yourself,
Show us, human, why you are worthy,
Prove your strength with your heart, and we will follow.

There was once a princess who's kingdom had fallen, the lone survivor of the fall. The god's had not meant this to happen, and the human kings had gone to war without the gods' permission as they should have. So as an apology, they gifted her the gift of light and foresight, and they buried the remains of the kingdom under a forest.

As a child, she was terrified, but quickly mastered her gifts and managed to get herself to a local church and sanctuary. Many years later, she was now a young woman. She had never forgotten her roots, not really, but they were all fuzzy and had merely become some faraway dream. One day, she felt the overwhelming urge to escape the orphanage, the bad food, the harsh village and the rules of the world, so she prepared her bags and left to where the wind would guide her.

She finally found herself in an unusual forest, it looked old, yet new. So she wandered around, lost, yet strangely at home, until she found a castle.
It was in ruins, and had been burned badly, but it was gorgeous. She walked and skipped and explore the marvelous place, it was taken over by nature yet it felt much more like home than anywhere she'd ever been. She then found the garden, and remembered. She was a princess, heir to the throne of a once blooming country. She had a younger sister and a loving mother. She had never seen her father much, but he was very doting. Yet one day the city fell under attack, and she was the only free survivor.

Overwhelmed by grief and longing, she fell to her knees and cried violently. Birds sang a disheartened song, and vines, flowers and roots grew around her protectively, shielding her from the world and giving her all the time she needed to cry. She fell asleep after a while, but when she awoke, she felt more alive, more knowledgeable. Like a weight that has kept her from flying had disappeared.

So she slowly walked back to the glorious throne room, the colored windows casting a beautiful rose and gold light over the marble floor and columns. She went up the small staircase leading to the throne her father once used, and sat on it.

No one would give her back her glorious kingdom, and there was no use waiting for the gods to help; they had given her all that she needed to do what she wanted.

So she sat there, and created her own kingdom, the kingdom of plants and magic, of fantastic creatures and deep secrets. It was a kingdom that she would rule.

It was the kingdom of Lumina.

She was lost. Alone. But she knew that she was home. Memories flashed before her, she stumbled and fell. Overcome by the pain of remembering it all, she cried. A sob. Then a long, deep wail. Nobody could change the fact that she was destined to be Lumina, keeper of light and memories.

It all started when she was born. A glorious light filled the room. Then, silence. They thought she died- that she was born dead. But she suddenly cried, wanting to be fed right now, right this instant. They ignored her. Nobody wanted her now that they thought she was cursed. Poor her, buried alive before she was an hour old. But every time she was sent below, a beautiful, huge-leafed plant would grow in a second, put her back on the surface, then disappear. It kept happening until they abandoned her deep in the forest, with nothing at all.

Years had passed, she became twelve and celebrated with the light, trees and plants. They taught her everything she needed to know, and more. None of the people who didn’t want her knew that she was alive and weller than anyone. None of them knew that whenever they cut down a tree, she would howl in agony and pain- it would hurt her, too. None of them knew that without her, that if they had succeeded in killing her, they would have been dead now- all of them. For she was Lumina, keeper of light and memories.

Her twelfth birthday gift was a dress- a beautiful, silk dress, all pure white. She loved it. Though it was several sizes too big, she wore the dress every day, all the time. Then one day, she got lost. She was running around and playing with the sunlight, when she fell. But instead of hitting the ground, she passed right through it and kept falling, and landed on some hard rocks, in a cave underground. She felt like she was suffocating, because this was where no light could reach her. “What… what happened? Where am I? What’s… this?” She had never seen fire before, and it seemed beautiful to her- it was a source of light, after all. She reached out to warm herself...

But she found herself suddenly in a demolished castle, and as she looked around… she realised that this was built for her, from the nature she was such good friends with. Suddenly she knew everything that had happened to her since she was born.

“Why…” she sobbed. “Why? WHY?”

This brings us to the scene I started this tale with, where she was overcome by memories, and so, now that she was in the gift nature decided to give her when she grows up, when she understands her truth, that she is Lumina, keeper of light and memories, she wished this never happened.

The castle was in the forest she grew up in, except that it was in a secret place she was never told about. So the light and plants came closer, trying to comfort her… but she wouldn’t budge. Plants grew around her. After hours, it let her go, and her dress had a small sapling growing from it. She smiled.

She grew, her plant grew. Though she knew who she was now, she went back to the happiness she lived in. Her plant is now a beautiful vine, with flowers appearing whenever she is happy. And now, Lumina goes to the castle every day, to thank the light and plants that raised her to who she is now. The people who hated her? They are gone. After becoming evil and merciless, they died, and their remains turned into lovely plants of all kinds. They are now part of the forest.

As for you, my child, you should thank every bit of light you see, every plant you find, because they are gifts from Lumina to the kindhearted and merciful to all. Now sleep, and let her be. Don’t try to find her, or you’ll become a flower like the one on her dress. Sleep, my child, sleep… and let your life and dreams both be filled with beauty and light.

Remag, as you place your hand upon the pedestal, there is a flash of violet light. The seven-pointed star will expand outwards all around you. Your party bleeds away into a ray of colors as time slows to a stopping halt. The mountains fade away and all that stands before you is the infinite shadow and the shining point of violet light. Your hand begins to flow with strength straight up your arm all the way up towards your right eye. It opens, age seems to fade from the side of your face. Your eye begins to surge with strength as the star enters through your eye. That which was a single pupil instead is refracted into a seven-pointed star and you see them now; the shadows of the seven are all around you.

They raise their hands towards you. The shadows reflecting, refracting, moving towards you at once like a wave after wave of energy. They move towards you and slowly stand where you stand. They stand beside you, in front of you, each one mimicking your action. You see it, reflected each time that it has came before. The six other eyes that are yet still open are with you and now you join them as the seventh and within the center, there is a violet light that grows in strength. The Herald's presence moves across the celestial skies and towards that of Kalkatesh.

And then there is a calm peace for but a moment as you stand with your six fellows. Each one like you, a traveler on an errant road finding your way; making your path. But all these things bleed away as a single purpose rises up within your heart. You can see it now - the purpose and burden of those that came before and those that must come after, for the torch has been passed.

And then slowly like a rising sun, the seven-pointed star reveals more to you. Behind you, there is the past and all the seven that came before and all those that had fought the enemy. And ahead of you, the golden tapestry of fate rises, swirling in a celestial wind, frayed at its edges, torn and taut, and in the center, a wrongness erupts out, ripping and tearing, leaving nothing but void and nothing.

The violet light grows in strength but you do not stand alone, for at your side are your companions as well. They place their hands upon your shell and you do not stand alone. But neither are all of you alone, for beside you down a line, like soldiers amassed for battle, are six other refractions. You are the same yet different; common yet unique. And like the shadow vibrating between form and felt, there it is before you - Truth. And the truth is that the time that Raquel tries her very hardest to keep safe is filtering away. The great wheel begins to turn and soon the end of things will be upon us all but there is always one light in the dark, one tiny thread that has yet to be snapped. And that is the thread of hope; the thread that you now hold in your hand along with the others.

Your eye expands outward revealing more of the things that you must do. You see that there is an island; a labyrinth where you see a great shadow of a wizard fighting against three groups of your fellows. You see travelers moving towards the mountains whomst path you have just crossed with. You can also see those that seek the stones hidden from far away. Her hand touches your neck; for now that your bonds are broken, what will you do with your freedom?

Around you, voices begin to sing slightly; quietly at first, as if whispering instruction. The voices of those that came before; they stand beside you. They tell you what you must do. The herald beckons. Your bonds are broken and now the true battle begins. For without you, the star is incomplete. Without your companions, you can not do it alone. And together, only together can there be hope where there once was despair.

And with that lifted up within you, Remag feels his shell begin to shift and change. As he bears the runes of the master, so too do the seven impart their wisdom. His mind fills with knowledge; knowledge of the runes of the seven and of the one rune mage who came before who held within the cube of the oscillator all those things that are hidden away. And as such, you now know what you must do, for as one library has been found, there is yet one more place that requires the presence of the eye.

It rises up ahead of you now, your purpose made clear; no longer errant in mystery or hidden in shadow. It rises up to a singular point. You must now travel to the holy cities of Orde. Where the White Pantheon holds disdain and they hold proclaim and there you must walk a path to what the inquisition has left behind and you must find the sacred relics. For within them there lies a secret to the enemy's defeat; a secret to embolden your allies; a secret to tip the scale of the war.

And so with step by step, you move down a celestial path. Beside you, your companions walk with you. Together you move forward. They sing within the light of your soul; emboldened, strengthened, no longer afraid, no longer a prisoner, no longer bound. Your destiny is your own and it awaits you.

The seventh eye has been opened; the endgame in Arcadum's world of Verum is upon us.

In a world thronged in darkness
Wrought from fear and dismay
Seemingly naught could liberate it
Of lingering foulness and decay

From the eternal darkness of a clandestine night
Billions of shards flared into light
Setting ablaze the celestial sphere
Extinguishing darkness and obliterating fear

Whilst the dark of the night from the photon took flight
Her powerful aura  strode forth into sight
Declaring devout that never again
The dominion of the dark will enshroud the world in sin

This music is for a tired mind, a restless soul, a broken heart, an angry person in so much chaos in life. It helps to restart the whole being like a machine for a new beginning

@pinkcircle5423

Verum is no more, all that remains is violet ash. Yet somewhere across the stars, hope can still be found, found towards a new horizon.
