Curtain Call
Bryan Rice Lyrics

And I'll believe in every word you say
Soon you'll be gone, you got me hanging on
Don't wanna say, wanna say, say goodbye
I don't want you to go
please just stay, stay right here
Time is running out for us now
Whenever the sky is breaking
Your heart is ready for the taking
Remember what I tell you now
Remember how we're feeling right this moment
Nothing in this world can stop me
I'm with you in every heartbeat
Remember we had it all
Before the curtain call
Before the curtain call
It's been so long since you've been here with me
The fact we're apart is killing me
I'll count the minutes till you're at the door
Tick tock, tick tock in my head
I can't wait to see you again
- Meant to be
Such a big mistake
Want you back here with me
Whenever the sky is breaking
Your heart is ready for the taking
Remember what I tell you now
Remember how we're feeling right this moment
Nothing in this world can stop me
I'm with you in every heartbeat
Remember we had it all
Before the curtain call
If the sky should fall
would you be there for me?
At the curtain call
will you think of me?
Up against the wall
I know we're meant to be
At the curtain call
you can count on me
If the sky should fall
would you be there for me?
At the curtain call
will you think of me?
Will you think of me?
Whenever the sky is breaking
Your heart is ready for the taking
Remember what I tell you now
Remember how we're feeling right this moment
Nothing in this world can stop me
I'm with you in every heartbeat
Remember we had it all
Before the curtain call
Before the curtain call
The song "Curtain Call" by Bryan Rice is a love song that talks about the pain of being separated from a loved one. Despite their separation, the singer pleads with their partner to reassure them that everything will be okay. The lyrics imply that they are facing a looming deadline, possibly a final goodbye, hence the phrase "Before the curtain call," which suggests the inevitable end of a show.
The song speaks of the singer's deep desire for their partner to stay with them, hoping that time can slow down or even stop, so they can remain together. There is a sense of urgency in the lyrics as the singer is aware that their time together is limited. The reference to "tick-tocking" in their mind amplifies the pressure they are feeling. Even though they know that their loved one is leaving, the singer hopes that this is just a temporary separation and that they will be reunited soon.
In essence, "Curtain Call" is a song about a long-distance relationship and the pain and uncertainty of what the future holds. The lyrics suggest that despite the obstacles, the singer is committed to the relationship, and they are hopeful that they will be reunited soon.
