Nowhere Man
Bryce Vine Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Summertime in cities I ain't ever been to yet
Pretty broads with foreign cars, we fly around in jets
I don't need no kerosene, I'll light it all myself
Alright, alright
Amsterdam and Trinidad ain't ever seemed so close
In the sky with wings tonight I'll hit the golden coast
I don't need no kerosene, I'll light it all myself
Alright, alright
Oh me oh my
I just wanna see the whole world
On a plane, in the sky
Oh me oh my
I just wanna see the whole world
On a train, for the ride
Yeah
All I want is foreign land
New arrival, nowhere man
Here a minute, gone again
I'm a nowhere man
City high for cities I might never call my home
Synagogues and cinemas from Budapest to Rome
I don't need no kerosene, I'll light it on my own
Alright, alright
I go nowhere and back
Searching for trouble wherever it's at
I smell the fumes, I fell in the cracks
More or less and expected on whether to follow the map
New exchanges, different language, elevated
Goddamn I'm an acclamated man
Oh me oh my
I just wanna see the whole world
On a plane, in the sky
Oh me oh my
I just wanna see the whole world
On a train, for the ride
Yeah
All I want is foreign land
New arrival, nowhere man
Here a minute, gone again
I'm a nowhere man
(I just wanna see the whole world)
(I'll be there until I'm gone)
I just wanna see the whole world
From a plane, in the sky
I just wanna see the whole world
On a train, for the night
All I want is foreign land
New arrival, nowhere man
Here a minute, gone again
I'm a nowhere man

Here a minute, gone again
I'm a nowhere man

Overall Meaning

In the song "Nowhere Man" by Bryce Vine, the lyrics tell a story of a man who is obsessed with traveling around the world, experiencing different cultures and meeting new people. The first verse hints at the luxurious life he is leading, where he is constantly flying around in private jets with pretty women driving fancy foreign cars. He proclaims that he can light his own fire, implying that he doesn't need anyone else's help to achieve his goals.

The chorus reinforces this idea of his wanderlust, with the repeated "oh me oh my" expressing his intense desire to see the entire world. He talks about wanting to travel by train and by plane, highlighting the depth of his longing to explore different parts of the world. The second verse shows that he is willing to take risks and embrace uncertain situations in pursuit of his passion. He is not afraid to "search for trouble" and "smell the fumes" of unfamiliar places. He acknowledges that he is a "nowhere man" who moves from one city to another, never staying in one place for too long.

Overall, the song portrays the excitement and sense of adventure that comes with exploring new territories, while also touching on the potential loneliness and rootlessness that can be a consequence of constantly being on the move.

I suffer from agoraphobia. this video and song is such an uplifting experience and makes me miss being normal again. They make me want to see everything I've missed out on. The mountains, forest, ocean and the emptiness, full of joy. Thank you to everyone who made this song and video.

i hate to turn to the "medication" talk but have u thought about looking into social anxiety meds? USA also has a form of "shock therapy" (sounds scary, its not) that helps you with that stuff as well as depression and general anxiety... anyways.. never be afraid to get out @anthonyleVasseur .. what i do is i MAKE SURE when im in public to stand tall. shoulders broad walking with a determined pace.. let the motherfuckers know you are a man of business. the perception others have of you is 90% decided before they talk to you ... its a way to "fake it till u make it" .. STAND TALL, GOOD POSTURE . MAKE THESE MOFOS NOTICE YOU POSITIVELY ! not frown at u in negativity .. pity is awful.. stay up brotha.. lemme know if u need help. i'll give u my contact details

Anthony LeVasseur my daughter has depression and anxiety and for about a year she took medication at 17 she decided to slowly stop taking it. Now she goes to her therapist once a week and meditates and it’s working for her. There’s no cure she’s learned to live with mental illness and manage it. Try talk therapy that would be a start. Now there’s so much resources online that can be your first step . I wish you the best !

Go do something out of your comfort zone every week. Doesn't have to be anything crazy but I bet you will test those boundries after awhile!

He's a real nowhere man, sitting in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for nobody.
