My Camera Never Lies
Bucks Fizz Lyrics

Ah click click,
Ah click click

I've been checking you up
I've been tracking you down
Funny all the things that I've found
Was it any surprise, didn't you realise, I must apologise
(It doesn't matter any more) to you
('Cause everything you tell me is boring)
Nothings gonna throw me now
(It doesn't matter what I say) to you
'Cause you've got that look in your eyes
The camera never lies

My camera never lies
So I'll put you in the picture and cut it down to size
(My camera oh oh)
My camera never lies anymore
'Cause there's nothing worth lying for
(My camera never lies)
There's nothing worth lying for
(My camera never lies)
My camera never lies anymore

Try to cover the trail, try to head for the line
Wonder why you're wasting your time
With another disguise â??cos there's no compromise
When the negative is dry
(It doesn't matter what I do) for you
('Cause every time you take me I'm sleeping)
You're never gonna shake me now
(It doesn't matter how I try) for you
(I can see by the look in your eyes)
(The camera never lies)

My camera never lies
So I'll put you in the picture and cut it down to size
(My camera oh oh)
My camera never lies anymore
'Cause there's nothing worth lying for
(My camera never lies)
There's nothing worth lying for
(My camera never lies)
My camera never lies anymore

(Ah click click, ah click click)
My camera, my camera, my camera never lies
Lies oh, oh, oh, oh
My camera never lies anymore
â??Cos there's nothing worth lying for

My camera never lies
So I'll put you in the picture and cut it down to size
(My camera oh oh)
My camera never lies anymore â??cos there's nothing worth lying
Nothing worth lying, nothing worth lying for

My camera never lies anymore (My camera never lies)

A very cleverly written pop song. Most of the harmonies you actually never hear, and there are several of them. Despite what people think of Bucks Fizz, they had some of the best writers in the business.

id you like elevator music, part of the at the time seemingly endless river of saccharine shit the industry produced, for those with their eyes and ears closed.

KickUpThe Eighties

I've just listened to their 2014 7" Remix of My camera never lies and in that version the harmonies are very distinct where they aren't in the original. It's on their "Remixes and Rarities" CD1 if you get a chance to have a listen

Some resemblance with i am a camera from the buggles , the producer of BF was a fan of horns work but gave up competing when he heard owner of a lonely heart , lol

I'm a Brazilian 13 years old girl, my father gave me a Bucks Fizz's record and, I hate to say that but, I had no idea of who they were. But I started to listen their song and, oh my God, they're amazing. I am so thankful my dad gave me their disco! How I wished I could live the 80s!

@Chris James I think covid 19 is so much more then those times I was teenager in 1981

@Chris James Totally disagree...Yes, poverty was more rife. However, we had a much more equal society. There was a much less gap between the "haves" and the "have nots". Plus, poverty always gives a stronger sense of community. You only have to look at poorer nations for that. Something that we don't have today. People dying of HIV/Aids?? Then people should simply keep their cocks in their trousers and their anuses firmly closed. People knew the consequences of their hedonistic actions. So, no excuses there!! As for racism?? The far right was merely a blip on a piece of paper in the 80s. With a country ready to embrace Liberalism and EU membership firmly ensured...Unlike today, when the reverse is the case. Conservative governments (like in the 80s) always bring peace. Labour governments (like in the 70s and 90s/00s always bring war. You have a think about that Chris...

Chris James

I grew up in the 80s. Poverty was everywhere, people were dying of HIV/AIDs, and racism, homophobia and sexism were completely mainstream. Trust me, other than music, you're better off growing up in the 2000s
