Buda Lyrics

Rompiendo caras, falsos boys.
Porta medalla, campeón de box.
Subes al chepy, bailanta voy.
Ahí vienen canas con la inyección.
Ahí vienen canas, apuntando.

Corren hippies.
Corren pibes.
Corre Chiche.
Corre teacher.

Hippies.

Hombre que va a trabajar.
De transpirar, traes el pan.
De fastidiar, traes hogar.

Corren hippies.
Corren pibes.
Corre Chiche.
Corre teacher.

Son de Flores. (x 4)

Hippies.

Teacher.

Overall Meaning

The song "Hippie" by Buda talks about the struggle of the hippie community in Argentina during the 1960s and 1970s. The first verse talks about the singer breaking the faces of "false boys", indicating a sense of rebellion against mainstream society. Next, the lyrics mention a champion boxer, who, despite his success, still rides the bus to a dance club. The mention of "canas" (slangs for the police) with an injection highlights the brutal repression faced by hippies and the societal fears of drug use. The chorus then repeats the word "hippies," with the following verses depicting their daily lives. The second verse talks about a hippie who works and sweats for his daily bread, but also brings tension to his home life.

The song paints a stark picture of the struggles faced by the hippie community in Argentina at the time, with the lyrics depicting the constant fear of violence, repression, and dismissal by mainstream society. At its core, it highlights the message of resisting societal norms and striving for personal freedom.

Have you ever re-applied an afro to someone who already had it done? If possible, I want to see a video about what that looks like.
