There is a long history partnership between these two blues heroes: Buddy Guy recorded on Junior Wells's sessions for Delmark Records under the pseudonym Friendly Chap back in 1965 and 1966.
Silvertone Records captured their latest team work to release "Last Time Around", from the historic final performance of the duo, live and acoustic, at Buddy Guy's world famous Chicago blues mecca, Legends.

Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey
Made me loose my happy home
Made me loose my happy home
Whiskey endless women
Is driving me out of my mind
I think I'm doin' just fine
Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey
Made me loose my happy home
Made me loose my happy home
I went out last night
Finally knocked myself outta sight
I got full of that bad stuff
And almost started a fight
Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey
Made me loose my happy home
Made me loose my happy home
I want to tell you baby
I'm now feeling just fine
I think I'll stop drinking whiskey,
and going back to bad wine
Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey
Made me loose my happy home
Made me loose my happy home
Let me tell you
Oh, that bad whiskey
Oh, that bad whiskey
Oh, that no good whiskey
The song Bad Bad Whiskey by Buddy Guy & Junior Wells talks about the negative and even destructive effects of consuming too much whiskey. The lyrics highlight how the addictive nature of whiskey leads the singer to lose his happy home, and how it drives him out of his mind, causing him to almost start a fight. Even though he seems to have gotten a tough lover, he thinks he's doing just fine, but the whiskey takes over, causing him to spiral out of control.
The repetition of the words "bad, bad whiskey" emphasizes the dangers associated with the substance. The singer acknowledges the impact of whiskey on his life, and he desires to change his drinking habits as he has now decided to switch to bad wine, which is, in this context, a seemingly better option. The lyrics vividly describe the dire, negative effects of whiskey and how it affects the singer's behaviour, decisions, and relationships.
Overall, the lyrics in Bad Bad Whiskey explore the theme of addictive behaviours and substance abuse. It highlights the dangers of overindulging in alcohol, leading to temptations and cravings that slowly erode one's happiness and mental health.

Ya know bro, after listening closer, I have to say I stand corrected. I didn't realize you're as in tune as you are to this cut. Off the bat I was thinking yes, Junior's playing harp throughout, but he could've double tracked his vocal, but it's a lot more likely that in 72, was it? They probably recorded this mostly all live. One thing for sure, Clapton's slide comes through really cool all through it, and really well at the end.

Um, sorry but I think you'll find it is. Apart from anything else you can hear Junior playing harp while he sings.
@castlerider99
That's Junior singing, not Buddy Guy.
