In Bukas Palad's song, God of Silence, the singer is being called by the God of silence to journey to their heart. The singer hears the Lord calling them tenderly and to answer that call, they come before him to gaze upon the beauty of his face, even though they cannot see it. The singer longs to rest in His embrace, despite not being able to feel it, and dwell in His love that is painful but sweet. They desire to be with God and get a glimpse of eternity.
The second verse talks about God being the fount of all the singer's delights, and that they ask Him to show him His light so that his heart can burn brightly like His. The God of silence tells the singer to be still and not be afraid of the torment of the night because it won't encumber them if they believe. The darkness is not emptiness because in it, God molds their heart unto His image. The singer yearns to see the self they are supposed to be, even though they fear it. The world from which they flee, they find home in God. He will give them everything they need as long as they remain in Him.
