While Feels Like tumbled headlong into the precarious nature of Bognanno's young adult life, Losing is a document of the complexity of growth: navigating breakups with sensitivity, learning not to run away from your troubles but to face them no matter how messy they may be. The debut single, "Feel The Same' is the album opener. Like an electric-shock Bognanno is back in your face tackling the angst of a young person feeling their way through the world. The song describes the prison of a manic mind-set, being trapped in your own head. On "Seeing It" she addresses the issue of personal safety and navigating the world as a woman. On "Running" she focuses on personal relationships and the avoidance of facing the demise of a personal relationship.
Losing is an internal, carefully focused record, a universalized diary and an exorcism-not of any one specific demon, but the host of them that characterize contemporary anxieties. Bully are growing up, sure, but their fire is in no way diminishing.

I Remember
Bully Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I remember my old habits
I remember getting too fucked up
And I remember throwing up in your car
I remember
I remember showing up at your house
And I remember hurting you so bad
And I remember the way your sheets smelt
I know what makes you cry
I know when you mean it
Who knows you better than
I do!
I remember
I remember that box of letters
I remember that naked photo
And I remember things getting better
I remember
I remember when I met your dad
I remember all about your mom
I remember what you do on Christmas
I know what makes you cry
I know when you mean it
Who knows you better than
I know everything that freaks you out
That makes you mad
That makes you melt
The song "I Remember" by Bully is a moving and introspective piece that explores the memories and regrets of the singer. The song starts with a nostalgic tone, with the singer reminiscing about old habits and how she used to get "too fucked up." She then goes on to recall a night where she threw up in someone's car, showing the mistakes of the past and the reckless way she used to live her life. It then becomes apparent that the person she is singing to is someone she has hurt before, as she remembers "hurting you so bad" and the way their sheets used to smell.
As the song progresses, the singer begins to list memories she cherishes, such as a box of letters and a naked photo. She remembers meeting her partner's dad and all about her mom, showing that despite her past mistakes, she still values the important moments in her life. The chorus of the song is particularly poignant, with the singer proclaiming that she knows the person better than anyone else, even with all of their flaws and quirks. She knows what makes the person cry and when they really mean something. The last line of the chorus, "I know everything that freaks you out, that makes you mad, that makes you melt" is particularly powerful, showing that despite all of the difficulties they may face, the relationship is an all-encompassing and passionate one.
Overall, "I Remember" is a song about the ups and downs of relationships and the importance of cherishing memories, both good and bad. It's a deeply personal and reflective piece that showcases the singer's vulnerability and ability to introspect.

These guys take me back. Feels like I'm a kid listening to something like the Pixies or Dinosaur Jr. for the first time again.

This band restored my faith in modern music.
Her voice is incredible! No autotune needed. Incredible purity in every aspect of the sound and feel without pretentious tripe.
Thank you, Bully!

I was saying to myself it's a miracle that I found a REAL Alternative Rock band that doesn't have that Indie pop sound !

In just two minutes this song does so much! Love how she's singing her heart out by 1:40 and by the end she's like, "alright...next one"...takes sip of drink. This band reminds me, very fondly, of the late 90s... I mean even before the "obvious" vocal comparisons to Hole, The Distillers, Veruca Salt perhaps....I was thinking Jesus and Mary Chain, Dinosaur Jr.. I mean these guys are "not really what I listen to anymore" but they're really, really good!

You have the same reaction as me !
It's a miracle that we have a Modern Alternative Rock band that doesn't have that dumb Indie Pop sound !
This band gives me the 90's vibes when Alternative Music used to be badass !

I saw Bully in concert opening for the Descendants late last year and immediately bought this album. So glad they're becoming more well known and more appreciated.

Lucy Lago it sucks because they signed to sub pop so im sure their distribution and promotion has decreased

the Descendents were one of the bands that kept me sane and alive as a teenager, makes me so happy they tapped Bully as an opener
