While Feels Like tumbled headlong into the precarious nature of Bognanno's young adult life, Losing is a document of the complexity of growth: navigating breakups with sensitivity, learning not to run away from your troubles but to face them no matter how messy they may be. The debut single, "Feel The Same' is the album opener. Like an electric-shock Bognanno is back in your face tackling the angst of a young person feeling their way through the world. The song describes the prison of a manic mind-set, being trapped in your own head. On "Seeing It" she addresses the issue of personal safety and navigating the world as a woman. On "Running" she focuses on personal relationships and the avoidance of facing the demise of a personal relationship.
Losing is an internal, carefully focused record, a universalized diary and an exorcism-not of any one specific demon, but the host of them that characterize contemporary anxieties. Bully are growing up, sure, but their fire is in no way diminishing.

Bully Lyrics

I don't want you broke over me
If you playing with the dealer's rent
You keep living incompletely
And even though it's only you
That brings me way down low
I still get terribly sick
When I see the place you're gonna go
I'm not pulling out your shark tooth
You got stuck up in the first place
And now you're swimming, ain't you baby?
You keep blaming me for settling
I'm feeling good
It's time to stop pointing fingers
It's time to buck up Billy a man
You said, you used it all up in your youth
Don't you blame it on the dinosaurs
It wasn't them who knocked the sense out of you
Blame it on freedom, space, and open doors
And now your mothers gonna be so sad
She only wants you to do good
And your fathers gonna kick your ass
You deserve it, I think he should
I'm not pulling out your shark tooth
You got stuck up in the first place
And now your swimming, ain't you baby
You keep blaming me for settling
I'm feeling good
It's time to stop pointing fingers
It's time to buck up Billy be a man
Billy, you were brought up to
Lie to me then bring me home
It's time for you to punch the clock
It's time for you to be grown
The overall theme of the song Sharktooth by Bully is centered around a toxic relationship between two people - Billy and the singer. The lyrics depict the singer's decision to end things with Billy and move on from the toxicity that he brings into her life. She talks about how she has no interest in being with him anymore and how she sees his downward spiral with drugs and addiction. Despite all the negativity that Billy brings into the singer's life, she still feels a sense of sickness and concern when she thinks about where he'll end up.
The term "sharktooth" represents the harmful things that people hold onto or carry with them. In the song, it is referenced as something inside Billy that is causing him to engage in self-destructive behavior like using drugs and not taking responsibility for his actions. The singer is no longer willing to be a part of that and therefore states that she will not pull his shark tooth out for him.
The lyrics also reflect on the consequences that come with freedom and the responsibility that comes with growing up. Billy is portrayed as someone who refuses to take ownership of his actions and blames everyone else for his problems. The singer urges him to stop pointing fingers and take control of his own life. She wants him to mature into a responsible man who can take care of himself and not rely on others.
Overall, the song Sharktooth by Bully is a powerful message about letting go of negative relationships and taking control of one's own life.
