Sunny Sunday
Bunny Sigler Lyrics

Brings me misery
Monday morning
Takes me back to the battery
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday always come on time
Thursday, Friday, Saturday the same old grimes
Sunny Sunday
That's my one day with my honey
Monday morning
Always comes too soon
Monday morning
Takes me back to the modern groove
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday always come on time
Thursday, Friday, Saturday the same old grimes
Sunny Sunday
That's my one day with my honey
Sunny Sunday is aways the same
Maybe Sunday won't change
Than each day would be my sweet day with my honey
Monday morning
Brings me misery
Monday morning
Takes me back to the battery
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday always come on time
Thursday, Friday, Saturday the same old grimes
Sunny Sunday
That's my one day with my honey
People with my honey
Talking by my honey
Talking by baby, yeah
Talking by baby, yeah
Sunny Sunday, yeah
Sunny Sunday
In this song, Bunny Sigler talks about how Mondays bring him misery as it signals the start of the workweek. He compares Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to the mundane routine of going to work. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are no different as they are just the same old grind. However, Sunny Sunday is his one day off, and that's when he gets to spend time with his significant other. He longs for a life where every day would be like Sunday, and every day would be a sweet day with his honey.
The lyrics reflect the monotony and boredom of everyday life, especially for those who work for a living. Sigler cleverly uses the days of the week to symbolize how repetitive life can be. He also highlights the importance of having one day in the week to spend time with loved ones and escape from the daily grind. The use of the term "battery" suggests that work drains the soul, leaving one feeling empty and longing for something more.
