He is founding member of reggae group The Wailers with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Bunny, Marley's step brother, toured with the band in England and USA after the success with the 1973 albums Catch A Fire and Burnin', but meant it was against Rastafari to perform for almost only white people and left Wailers 1973. He then made a number of solo reggae albums. Blackheart Man (1976) is a good example of his religious roots reggae, and Rock 'n' Groove (1981) of solid uptempo Sly & Robbie based reggae. He started to tour internationally again and is regarded as one of the most important reggae artists ever. Bunny Wailer has won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1991, 1995 and 1997.

He sang however lead on "Dreamland" (a cover of El Tempos' My Dream Island, which soon became Bunny's signature song), "Riding High", "Brainwashing" and on one verse of the Wailers' Impressions-like "Keep On Moving", both produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry. In 1971, he recorded the original version of Pass It On
Bunny Wailer toured with the Wailers in England and the United States, but soon became reluctant to leave Jamaica. He and Tosh became more marginalized in the group as the Wailers became an international success, and attention was increasingly focused on Marley. Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh subsequently left the Wailers to pursue solo careers. They were replaced by the I Threes, a move to broaden the base of success for the Wailers in the non-Jamaican market.
After leaving the Wailers, Bunny became more focused on his spiritual faith. He identified with the Rastafari movement, as did the other Wailers. He self-produced a number of his recordings after striking out on his own. He has also written much of his own material as well as re-recording a number of cuts from the Wailers catalogue. Bunny Wailer has recorded primarily in the roots style, in keeping with his often political and spiritual messages. The album "Blackheart Man" is a good example of his roots reggae style and the dub version,Dub d*sco vol 1 equally magnificent if hard to find. "Sings the Wailers" successfully reworks many of The Wailers songs with the backing of top Jamaican musicians, Sly and Robbie. He has also had success recording in the typically apolitical, more pop dancehall style. He has outlived his contemporaries in a culture where death by violence is commonplace.
Bunny Wailer has won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1990, 1994 and 1996.

one our greats! Total respect to you Bunny Wailer. However we can't call upon
Jah and expect the The Most High God of Israel, the God of Abraham Isaac and
Jacob to deliver us. Psalms 83 reveals who are the people of the synagogue of
Satan, The powers that be that seeks to destroy the earth and the people of God
the true Hebrew Jews the 12 tribes of Israel. so most of us in the Caribbean
region falls are seeds of Benjamin Except for the Levi's of Haiti and Simeon's
of Dominica. so in Genesis the 49th chapter Jacob who we know was renamed
Israel after the wrestle with the angel, Jacob gathered his sons at his death
bed to tell them what will befall them i the last days. Genesis 49:27 (Benjamin shall
raven as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey and at night he shall
divide the spoil). These are clearly the traits of the warrior spirits of the
Jamaicans. Now if you go to Deuteronomy 33 : 12 you get the promise of the
tribe of Benjamin. (And of Benjamin he said the beloved of the Lord shall dwell
in safety by him and The Lord shall cover him all the daylong and he shall
dwell between his shoulders). Now I don't know any other group of Israelite's
on this earth more protected than the Caribbean people especially Jamaicans,
Godly and spiritual in their ways but misguided by the false Prophets who
disguise the Christian religion under the Roman Catholic churches who control
all religious institutions on this earth to blind sight the Children of Israel
of their true identity and their true God. Plague after plague the heathen
Gentiles set upon us and continuously kill out our men (the latest being ZIK V!
but even through the wickedness and sinful ways the God of Israel has kept us
covered and we are still standing. let us throw away the foolishness of
religion and re aquatint ourselves with the book The Holy Bible in its
entirety! Because true knowledge of our book is the only way that we will win
the war I'm talking about the war against the synagogue of Satan Ephesians 6 :
12 (For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places). Jamaican
people and youths please know that your Politicians has sold their souls to the
devil the minute they enter politics, they are just puppets on a string being
controlled by the European powers that be, they are all part of the plan to
kill Israel just like they sell out and killed Christ! There's nothing new
under the face of this earth. Peace and love, my prayers will always be for
Israel to wake up to the truth so that our men can rise and assume their
positions to be sealed for the second coming.

You mention that this speech is in a class such as other great speeches like,.........I would like to recommend that you listen to Peter Tosh's famous speech at the One Love Peace concert in Jamaica. That was the first time I heard the terms bongo clippings and grass Klaat for which he was brutally beaten and persecuted.
