The project is born out of the need to re-connect with urban music deepest realities. Musical genres like Kuduro or Carioca Funk are given a new lease and some dance-floor grease. Produced by DJ Riot, Lil'John (Cooltrain Crew/Enchufada) and Conductor (Conjunto Ngonguenha), with Kalaf as MC. Its all about trying to convey to a wider audience, novel approaches to musical creation, until now spawned in and restricted to urban outskirts and ghettos. DJ set which encompasses all the Portuguese street music as well as other neighbouring influences. Hardcore Kuduro dance floor session, no twitching! It is the fast-paced kuduro that sends the adrenaline soaring amongst the countrys youth. There is nothing that exemplifies newfound peace in Angola better than kuduro, this unique mixture of kizomba and techno now spreading into Europe via Portugal. Ace.

Wegue, wegue wegue wegue
Wegue, wegue wegue wegue
Wegue, wegue wegue wegue
Wegue, wegue wegue wegue
Wegue, wegue wegue wegue
Quando eu entro o palco se move
Claro que o povo me ouve
Sou Pongolove
Estou com a Buraka
Abro a fronteira
NĆ£o digo lixo
Nem digo asneira
No microfone sou a primeira
Vou levantar a minha bandeira
Angola o mundo cobiƧa
Mas Ʃ o povo que te enfeitiƧa
A Pong no beat capricha
Porque sou rara tipo welwitchia
Sou mesmo eu a dama ngaxi muito agressiva
Me derrubar nem com macumba
Sou criativa
A Buraka Ć© que estĆ” a cuiar
Sai fora
Pongolove Ć© que esta a bater

Sou palanca negra gigante

The lyrics to Buraka Som Sistema's "Kalemba" featuring Pongo Love are primarily in Portuguese, with some words in Kimbundu, a Bantu language spoken in Angola. The song begins with the repetition of "Wegue," which is a word that serves as a call to action or a dance move in Kuduro, a type of electronic dance music that originates in Angola.
Pongo Love first enters the song, stating confidently that when she enters the stage, the people listen and her talent shines. She proclaims her connection to Angola and her partnership with Buraka, a Portuguese electronic dance music group. She pays homage to her African roots by opening borders and raising her flag. Pongo Love focuses on positivity in her lyrics, staying away from any profanity or negativity. She emphasizes how Angola is a special place that has enchanted the world, and she is proud to be from there.
The chorus repeats the call to action "Wegue," signaling a new scheme or a new game, and that the Buraka group is in charge, but Pongo Love is the one who is beating and shining. Her lyrics are full of cultural references, such as mentioning Njinga Mbandi, a warrior queen of the Mbundu people, and TomƩ Grande, a legendary sorcerer. Pongo Love boasts her creativity and confidence as a woman, stating that nothing can bring her down. She ends the song repeating "Wegue," solidifying her strong presence in the music scene.
