The project is born out of the need to re-connect with urban music deepest realities. Musical genres like Kuduro or Carioca Funk are given a new lease and some dance-floor grease. Produced by DJ Riot, Lil'John (Cooltrain Crew/Enchufada) and Conductor (Conjunto Ngonguenha), with Kalaf as MC. Its all about trying to convey to a wider audience, novel approaches to musical creation, until now spawned in and restricted to urban outskirts and ghettos. DJ set which encompasses all the Portuguese street music as well as other neighbouring influences. Hardcore Kuduro dance floor session, no twitching! It is the fast-paced kuduro that sends the adrenaline soaring amongst the countrys youth. There is nothing that exemplifies newfound peace in Angola better than kuduro, this unique mixture of kizomba and techno now spreading into Europe via Portugal. Ace.

Sound of Kuduro knocking at your door.
The opening lyrics of Buraka Som Sistema's "Sound of Kuduro" sets the tone for an energetic and rhythmic journey into the world of kuduro music. The repetition of "drop" and the countdown from one to four creates an anticipation for something explosive, and as the lyrics suggest, the sound of kuduro is what's about to knock at your door. Kuduro is a genre of music and dance that originated in Angola in the 1980s, deriving from various African and Afro-Latin music influences. It typically features a fast-paced rhythm, and its dance style involves a mix of hip-hop, breakdance, and traditional Angolan dance moves.
The line "Sound of Kuduro knocking at your door" suggests that kuduro is a force to be reckoned with, one that will leave an undeniable impact. The song's lyrics go on to describe the power of kuduro, how it moves people and brings them together. It's not just a musical genre, but a cultural movement that represents the energy, rhythm, and spirit of Angola and its people. With its infectious beats and celebratory lyrics, "Sound of Kuduro" invites the listener to join in on the party, to let loose and feel the joy of the music.
