The project is born out of the need to re-connect with urban music deepest realities. Musical genres like Kuduro or Carioca Funk are given a new lease and some dance-floor grease. Produced by DJ Riot, Lil'John (Cooltrain Crew/Enchufada) and Conductor (Conjunto Ngonguenha), with Kalaf as MC. Its all about trying to convey to a wider audience, novel approaches to musical creation, until now spawned in and restricted to urban outskirts and ghettos. DJ set which encompasses all the Portuguese street music as well as other neighbouring influences. Hardcore Kuduro dance floor session, no twitching! It is the fast-paced kuduro that sends the adrenaline soaring amongst the countrys youth. There is nothing that exemplifies newfound peace in Angola better than kuduro, this unique mixture of kizomba and techno now spreading into Europe via Portugal. Ace.

The lyrics to Buraka Som Sistema's song Vuvuzela are a celebration of the joyous and lively atmosphere that is present during carnival season in Luanda. The repetition of "Mundo eh Mundo eh Carnaval," "Povo eh Povo eh Carnaval," "Festa eh Festa eh Carnaval," and "Dança eh dança eh Carnaval" all suggest that during this time, the world, the people, the parties, and the dancing are all part of the carnival. The chorus then emphasizes the importance of the vuvuzela, which is a traditional South African horn that has become synonymous with the sounds of football games and celebrations. "Vuvuzela é que manda" translates to "the vuvuzela is in charge" and reinforces the idea that the instrument is an essential part of the festivities.
Additionally, the repetition of "Carnaval eh Luanda" affirms the cultural significance of carnival in Angola's capital city. Through this song, Buraka Som Sistema pays homage to the traditions and celebrations of Luanda, while infusing their unique style and contemporary sound into the mix. Overall, the lyrics embody the energy and spirit of carnival, highlighting how music and instruments like the vuvuzela play a vital role in bringing people together to celebrate.
