Members:
Damien Starkey (vocals),
Kevin Renwick (guitar),
Adam Silk (bass),
Bobby Amaru (drums).
Their album Burn Season was released on October 11, 2005 under the "Bieler Bros. Records" label after "Elektra Records" dropped them.
The band was working on their new album, but on May 1st 2007, Starkey officially announced the band's breakup: After 6 years, 2 record deals, and over 40 recorded songs we feel that the band has run its course. All of us are still great friends and have no animosity within the group but have come to a point where it makes more sense to pursue other projects. Walk Away
Burn Season Lyrics

Am I ever gonna win?
Chasing, never reaching for an open hand
It stops me where I stand
I'm still stuck here
Pretending to be happy
Pretending to be something
Wait, you walk away
I don't need anybody
I won't need anybody
Wait, you walk away
And I don't need anybody
Changing, still arranging who I really am
You still don't give a damn
Facing, mind is racing, finally here I am
It stops me where I stand
Wait, you walk away
I don't need anybody
I won't need anybody
Wait, you walk away
And I don't need anybody but you
Won't you wait
I'm still stuck here
Pretending to be happy
Pretending to be something
When I know it isn't real
Wait, you walk away
I don't need anybody
I won't need anybody
Wait, you walk away
And I don't need anybody
I won't need anybody
Wait, you walk away
I don't need anybody
I won't need anybody
Wait, you walk away
And I don't need anybody but you
The song "Walk Away" by Burn Season is a reflection of the feelings of insecurity and fear one encounters during periods of immense change in life. The singer in the song is questioning if they are making mistakes and if they will ever be successful. They are chasing something that always seems out of reach, and this leaves them feeling stuck and unable to move forward. They are pretending to be happy and something they are not, but they know deep down that it isn't real.
The song's chorus, "Wait, you walk away, I don't need anybody, I won't need anybody," is a message to whoever the person is addressing that they are not dependent on them. They are okay being alone and do not need anyone to validate their worth. This message is a powerful statement of self-reliance and independence in the face of uncertainty.
The song's lyrics paint a picture of a person who is struggling to find their place in the world, who is constantly questioning their decisions, and who is not afraid to be alone. The song's message is that it is possible to enjoy being alone and not to rely on anyone to define you. It's a powerful message of inner strength.
