In Burna Boy's "Rock Your Body," the lyrics are mostly about dancing and sexual innuendos, but there are some deeper meanings behind the song. The song begins with a call to action for the listener to "stand up upright and pattern up right," which could be interpreted as a plea to better oneself and be confident in their own skin. The lyric "She think say she bad, she think say she hot her fada," is a nod to the Jamaican patois phrase "she thinks she's all that," and the line "make you borrow her car shay na catarrh" implies that the girl is only trying to impress others but doesn't actually have anything of value.
The chorus is Burna Boy's attempt to woo a woman by asking her to show him what she's got and promising to reciprocate in turn. The song also includes some Nigerian Pidgin English phrases such as "dagbana eh eh," which means "it's okay," "whine for me baby" which means to dance suggestively, and "ginger the jollof" which implies adding spice to a situation.
Overall, "Rock Your Body" is a playful and flirtatious song that encourages self-confidence and living in the moment.
