1. Butterfingers is an Australian hip-hop/rock group, from Brisbane, Queensland. They are known for their amusing lyrics & taboo subject matter.
Their first two singles “Everytime” and “I Love Work”, became instant hits with Triple J listeners when they were released in 2003. They reached positions 15 and 38 respectively in the Triple J Hottest 100 of that year. The “Breakfast at Fatboys” album remained in the top ten of the ARIA Independent charts for about a year. In June 2005 they released their new singles, FIGJAM and Jesus I Was Evil (a cover of the song by Darcy Clay), both songs went into high rotation on Triple J and placed 11th and 69th respectively in the 2005 Triple J Hottest 100. FIGJAM, in October 2005, was nominated for the Best Urban Release ARIA Award. The band released a second album, entitled “The Deeper You Dig” in June 2006, and a single “Nothing Much Happens” in late 2007.
2. Butterfingers, the Malaysian rock band, is one of the biggest bands in the Malaysian indie scene, and a pioneer of Malaysian underground scene. Butterfingers was formed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1991 when Loque, who also performs under the name monoloQue, (Khairil Ridzwan Bin Anuar), and his Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) schoolmate, Kadak (Mohd Fakharudin Bin Mohd Bahar), formed what was then known as Loque's Tail.
It was while jamming in Kuala Lumpur during 1993 at Black Widow Studios that they bumped into Emmett (Emmett Roslan Ishak), who was there jamming (as a guitarist) with his band at that time, Grunge Dayz . Impressed with what he saw, Loque challenged Emmett to a ‘jamming showdown', after which they mutually decided to join skills and creativity, to form their own band. After meeting up with drummer Kalai (Khairul Nizam Mois) later that year, Butterfingers was officially formed.
They catched the eye of EMI, who released their debut album 1.2 Milligrams in 1996. The album sold over 15,000 units and earned them a gold award, for sales over 15,000 units. Their sophomore album, Butter Worth Pushful, was released in 1997 to a rapidly growing fanbase of Malaysian underground scene. Drummer Loko (Muhammad Hafiz) has replaced Kalai by this time.
Transcendence, their third album was released in 1999, marking a phase of experimentation, with a fifth member Numlok providing a layer of electronica sound and samples over their rock tracks. It wasn't however until their fourth album, Malayneum which was released in 2001, that Butterfingers start abandoning their raw grunge sound for a more polished progressive rock style. The album was met with critical reviews, but not much commercial success.
After a period of public obscurity, Butterfingers continued to break grounds by releasing their fifth LP, Selamat Tinggal Dunia (2005) fully in Malay language. This marks the start of Butterfingers' move to return to their Malaysian roots, and in protest to the burgeoning Indonesian bands "invasion" in Malaysia. Their new direction was at first shunned by diehard fans, but as they toured more, Butterfingers had cemented themselves as a tour de force in the Malaysian indie scene.
They have just released their latest album, Kembali in August, 2008. The album signals a return to a more stable rock style and sound, promising to be an album full of music for the masses.

Realize there's no one dare to fight
Who knows what never one of us
And now I as for the ground
Who knows what is it all about
As down as at side
A single kiss is all about
And what was life all about
The rising sun is up on my face
If all i've seen it before
You build the memory when i say
Can this thing different happen more ?.....
I wake up thinking after all
Through every seconds of my life!!!...
So don't ever try
Wanna die
On a freeway to the planet of ashes
So when it's done
Under the sun
Give it time so
Endless machine
An endless empty turnaround
I find in it no ecstasy survival
Is it all a feast
Who knows what is it all about
Realize that it may sounds suprise
But second kiss is all applied
I realize we all at bay
The answer of lies could offer us
Suprise is rising i could
It's time to hide the seek machine
You'll bring me down when i say
Will it be different anymore
And i can stay home after all
Through every seconds of my life!!!!...
Don't know what to say
Exactly
I'm afraid but i will affect you
Don't know where to go..oh no go..
Don't ever die, if you wanna die get a dive within...
Get a real life
Oh i wanna swim, but don't want to
To ever try until you get some affections
Aaaahhhhhh ... .
Suprise is rising i could
It's time to hide the seek machine
You'll bring me down when i say
Will it be different anymore
And i can stay home after all
Through every seconds of my life!!!!...
So don't ever try
Wanna die
On a freeway to the planet of ashes
So when it's done
Under the sun
Give it time so
Endless machine...
Yeahhh!!!!
Planet of ashes
So don't ever try
Wanna die on
A freeway to the planet of ashes
I realize the risk to try
But second kiss is all applied
The answer of lies could offer us
An endless empty turnaround (2x)
The song “Meltdown” by Butterfingers talks about the confusion and uncertainty of life. The lyrics use vivid imagery to describe the feelings of the singer, who is searching for answers to life's bigger questions. The idea of an "endless empty turnaround" could be interpreted as the cyclical nature of life, where things often repeat themselves without any notable change.
The opening lines of the song suggest that the singer feels alone in the world, with nobody daring to stand up for what is right. They question whether anyone truly knows the answers to life's bigger questions, and wonder about the purpose of it all. The idea of a "single kiss" could signify something that brings fleeting happiness but doesn't last in the grand scheme of things. The singer acknowledges the risks of trying to find meaning in life, but still feels compelled to do so.
The chorus of the song talks about not wanting to die and ending up on a "freeway to the planet of ashes," suggesting that the singer is fearful of living a life without purpose. However, there is a glimmer of hope in the idea of an "endless machine," which could be interpreted as life itself, continuing on in spite of the confusion and uncertainty.

Resist is not I’m not afraid
To miss I never wanna meet
Decapitated sovereign
Who knows what is it all about
This leash is not an odyssey
Bicycle kiss out on a plane
Idealist, aristocrat
The essence lost
Kill! Over mars
Horizons up in my face
You thought I’ve seen it here before
You bring them up when I say
Can this be different ever more
And we could stay home after all
For all the seconds of my life
So don’t ever try
I wanna die on a freeway to the planet of ashes
Oh, when it’s done
I'm old, dead, stunned
Gun a child son, in-line action
An endless empty turnaround
I find in it no ecstasy
Survival is it all a feast
Who knows what is it all about
A leash is not a proximi
Bicycle kiss out on her plane
Idealististic wannabe
The essence lost
Kill! Over mars
Surprises rising are culled
It’s time to hide the secrecy
You bring’em down when I say
Would it be different anymore
And I could stay home after all
For there’s no seconds in no life
Don’t over stay, excess soiree
Not afraid, buy a maid of affections
So when it’s done, under the sun
Give it time, give it time, give it time, give it
(Keep it falling out of place, you'd realize)
End after that, low thermostat
Goin blind, seeking lifeline inspections
Resist is not a knot to free
