Buzz Poets Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I see, love is shining down on everyone, not me, I am twisted and I've just begun. The rumors they flyin all over the scenery not right, then everybody come runnin and tellin me do not fight. I'm rebellion I'm Disfunction, I am twisted. I am twisted. You'll be looking up while you are falling down. I'll be medicated killing all the clowns. intelligenty won't you see what youre tellin me that not right, Then everybody come runnin and tellin me do not fight. I'm rebellion, I'm Disfunction. I am twisted. I am twisted.. Monday I'll kiss her, Tuesday I'll miss her, Wednesday I\'ll love her. Thursday I'll run, Friday she i'll kill me. Saturday she'll thrill me. Sunday I'm crying but one day I'll learn. One potato, Two potato Stick one time. One potato, Two potato Stick Two times. I see, wedding bells are burning in the sky. I'll be lying in my room waiting to die. I'm rebellion, I'm Disfunction. I am twisted. I am twisted. I'm rebellion, I'm Disfunction. I am twisted. I am twisted.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Buzz Poets' song Twisted is a reflection on the feelings of isolation and loneliness that the singer is experiencing. Despite the fact that love seems to be shining down on everyone around him, he feels that he is twisted and dysfunctional, not deserving of love. He sees rumors flying around about him, which causes him to feel misunderstood and angry. However, when people come to him to tell him not to fight, he feels a sense of hopelessness and confusion, not knowing what to do with his feelings of anger and frustration.

The chorus of the song paints a picture of someone who is rebellious and dysfunctional - someone who is unafraid to take risks and push boundaries. The singer states that everyone else will be looking up while falling down, while he will be medicated and killing all the clowns - a metaphor for his disregard for societal norms and expectations. Despite this, the singer laments that no one seems to understand him or care about his struggles, and he is trapped in a cycle of self-destruction.

The verses of the song detail the singer's relationships with women and how they add to his feelings of turmoil. He kisses one on Monday, misses another on Tuesday, and loves one on Wednesday, but then runs away on Thursday. By Friday, he knows the woman will kill him, yet by Saturday, she still thrills him. Finally, by Sunday, he is left crying, feeling alone and misunderstood once again. The song ends on a bleak note, with the singer awaiting his inevitable death while others celebrate weddings.

Overall, Buzz Poets' Twisted is a powerful song that captures the emotions of rebellion, dysfunction, and isolation. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt like an outsider, unloved or misunderstood. The lyrics and chorus talk about deep feelings of anger, frustration and isolation, and the verses explore the singer's relationships with women and how they add to his turmoil. However, the song is able to speak to a wide range of people, from those who are struggling with their own personal issues to those who are simply looking for an anthem of resistance and rebellion.

That's when the song was put on an album. In the summer of 99 they sent me a preview of their next album and they picked Parasite as the song to do a video for. The video was done in time to be put on the album for the release party at Nick's. I still have the release party video we did that night. I should put parts of that up.
