Father, Father, Father... I know you really love these gay and lesbian teens and want them to love God and the Church, because He loves them. And from what I heard on your Mary talk you sound very sensible. Yeah, you should pray to the saints.
But surely you know Church History better than I do. Surely you know what Saint Paul and the Church Fathers had to say about homosexual acts, and about marriage, and about children. You should know better than me that... well, you're not being inclusive.
God loves you, and God loves the homosexuals. Bar none. And because he loves you and them, He gave you the priesthood so you could instruct them in the faith - in matters of faith, such as praying to the saints, but also morals.
But you're excluding homosexuals from the Kingdom of God and from His benevolent fellowship because you will not be a prophet and tell them of their sins, and encourage them to repentance.
Never forget the love God has for these people. And because you love them, you've got to tell them the truth.

I'm gay. I grew up Mormon , then left the church when I came out. I believe in God. When I look at the world and the people in the world I see diversity and beauty that can only come from divinity. I know in my soul God made me the way he did for a reason, and that to ignore who I am would be an affront to him. I've been exploring different religions, everything from old Hinduism to modern pagan paths. So far, the Episcopal Church resonates the most with me. I still have a lot of questions, but I believe through his sacrifice, Christ exemplified the highest love there is: unconditional love. Once things become safer, I look forward to visiting my local Episcopal Church and learning more.
