Their sophomore release, Anything Goes, failed to match the mainstream success of its predecessor although it did produce a #1 on the Club Chart, "Do You Wanna Get Funky." The group disbanded in 1994 when David Cole died of complications from spinal meningitis.
Clivillés and Cole had recorded dance music under other names, and had showcased different vocalists prior to starting their C+C Music Factory project. Their production work for the group Seduction is the most well-known of these earlier endeavours. After the huge success of their debut, they became highly sought after producers and worked with Mariah Carey, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, Whitney Houston, and James Brown amongst others.

OOOh baby OOOh baby OOOh baby OOOh baby
Givin' it to you (give it up, give it up)
Throw da base
Use to be the kind of girls I would dare to meet
Lonely, sexy smile
The kind of girl makes me wanna do the wild thing
But one thing's for sure
Something 'bout you baby's got me mesmerize
The way you move so smooth
Girl you know exactly what I wanna do
I'm gonna get my love to you
Givin' it to you
I'll be givin' it to you
Givin' it, givin' it to you
Check it out, this is the deal
I've been looking all around to find the love that's real
True love so hard to find
I'll be yours and baby say that you'll be mine
I'm gonna get my love to you
Givin' it to you
I'll be givin' it to you
Givin' it, givin' it to you
In C+C Music Factory's hit 90's track "Givin' It To You," the singer describes his attraction to a woman who is confidently dancing to the beat. He admits that he used to be intimidated by girls like her, but there's something special about her that has him mesmerized. He's so taken with her that he's willing to give her all of his love, hence the song's title.
The lyrics of this song reflect the confident and carefree vibe of the 90s dance era. The idea of a woman dancing to the beat without a care in the world is a common theme in dance music, and this song is no exception. The singer is clearly besotted with this woman, and the way he describes her "lonely, sexy smile" and "smooth" movements show just how much he's drawn to her.
Overall, "Givin' It To You" is a fun and lighthearted song that captures the spirit of the 90s dance scene. It's the kind of song that you can't help but dance along to, and it's easy to see why it was such a hit at clubs and parties during that time.
