She wakes up early every morning
Just to do her hair now
Because she cares yeah

Her day oh wouldn't be right
Without her make up
She's never without her makeup
She's just like you and me
But she's homeless, she's homeless
As she stands there singing for money.

La da dee la dee da
La da dee la dee da

She try not to care, she's homeless
Her day oh wouldn't be right
her make up and hair
She's apologize

As she stands there singing for money

La da dee la dee da

In my sleep I see her begging
Preaching please
Although her body is not mine
I ask now why God why

She's just like you and me
But she's homeless, she's homeless
As she stands there singing for money

La da dee la dee da

She wakes up early every morning
Just to do her hair now

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Gypsy Woman" by C.J. Lewis tell the story of a homeless woman who wakes up early every morning to take care of herself by doing her hair and makeup, emphasizing her personal care and dignity despite her circumstances. The repetition of "Just to do her hair now, Because she cares yeah" highlights the importance she places on maintaining her appearance and sense of self-worth.

The song also describes how her day wouldn't feel right without her makeup, symbolizing the routine and identity she finds in this small act of self-care. The lyrics emphasize her humanity by stating that she is just like anyone else, but is unfortunately homeless. The imagery of her singing for money on the streets portrays her struggle to survive and maintain some form of livelihood in a challenging situation.

The chorus of the song, with its repetition of "La da dee la dee da," creates a haunting and melancholic tone, reflecting the sadness and poignancy of the womanโ€™s situation. The lyrics express a sense of empathy and sorrow towards the homeless woman, as the singer acknowledges her as a fellow human being facing difficult circumstances.

The line "In my sleep I see her begging, Preaching please" conveys a sense of helplessness and compassion towards the woman, as the singer grapples with the unfairness of her situation. The song ultimately serves as a reminder of the often invisible struggles faced by homeless individuals, urging listeners to consider the humanity and dignity of those who are less fortunate. Through its emotive lyrics and poignant storytelling, "Gypsy Woman" sheds light on the complexities of homelessness and the importance of empathy and understanding towards those who are marginalized in society.

Let's get the facts straight!

1. Cops arrested Christina Revels-Glick (34) on Tybee Island beach, Georgia, on July 1, 2021 for indecent exposure.

2. Christian Revels-Glick committed suicide on March 31, 2022. Family members have stressed her death wasnโ€™t related to the incident, but came after a battle with drugs and alcohol.

3. The video of her arrest was released only recently, which means that she was already dead when it went public.

4. However, it is a lack of respect for her dignity, her family, and her two sons to release this video after she had already committed suicide. That was unnecessary. We shouldn't have seen this.

@@donkeykong4712thatโ€™s right! Same thing with employers. Honesty and integrity only makes it easier for them to terminate you

I worked in the HIGHLY CORRUPT coal coal industry as a foreman after college. And one of the things I was told was to โ€œlearn how to lieโ€.

I didnโ€™t exactly know what that meant being new. But I eventually began to catch on what they meant by that. They sure as hell donโ€™t tell you what that means. You have to figure it out on your own by nearly getting yourself terminated for, for example, shutting off a conveyor belt because a roller seized up and is beginning to appear orange from the friction of the belt running with a heavy load of coal on top of it

Thatโ€™s a fire hazard and needs to be changed according to MSHA regulations. But they expect you to keep that belt running despite a hot roller thatโ€™s bellowing smoke

Sureโ€ฆ they want to know about it. But they also do not want you calling it out over the radio. They tell you to call using one of the mine phones. By calling out safety concerns, they have to now assume that at least 1 union man heard the radio transmission and are going to have their eyes and ears open to ensure that the roller was changed

Failure to shut down and change in that situation means the union WILL inform their safety committee, who will then inform MSHA for violating everyoneโ€™s safetyโ€ฆ which can mean criminal charges being filed against the shift foreman all the way to the superintendent

Well, here's the thing, right?

If you steal from me, then there must be a reason that you're stealing.

You probably need that money, in which case it's better to be honest about it, then to try and steal it from people.

Or maybe you do it to feel better, in which case, it's better to be honest about it yourself.

Now I would be missing that $100. Depending upon how I lost it, I might have been careless. In which case, if you're honest about it, you could say that you stole my money, because I was so carelss with it. And if you provided me with tips, and gave the money back, and talked about your situation, you might start a friendship. And maybe because I was so careless about it, I'd be loaded with money. And maybe I needed a friendship. And thus I could give you money in exchange for having a fun time together.

And maybe I could provide you with a job.

Again, this is all based upon this scenario.

A guy are a girl are two very different things. A guy masterbating is far more noticeable and causes far more mess... Guys are ugly, and disgusting and most girls are not. The rules aren't the same between the two in society.

That's not to say it should be acceptable for a woman to do this whereve she wants, but come on.. this was a beach away from people, and she's not ugly. People complained for no reason. I doubt she was naked and I doubt anyone's kids noticed.. I'm sure just the adults noticed and decided to ruin someone's day because they only care about themselves.

Society does this to people.. this lady was disturbed and sad and was trying to get some releif and instead of helping her, society arrested her and it only added to the reason why she commited suicide..

So great job everyone, really well done...

EDIT: (As a side note, never talk to the police. Never answer questions, you're under no obligation to do so. This was a case of "He said, She said". It would go nowhere without her incriminating herself. The cops knew this, which is why they didn't just arrest her and wanted to "talk" with her. Get her to show them her "stuff", which she didn't have to do. All she needed to do was say, "I think you have the wrong person." and left it at that. Deny, Deny, Deny.. and stay quiet. The police are NOT your friends, and they're not here to protect and serve)

@wonderwalls3565
