C S Lewis has given a lot to the world of literature of which I and milions of others are very thankful.

Though I have to say I'm suprised he didn't have
friends/acquaintances with better intellectual arguments against what seems like simplistic ideas.
Or maybe its just easier to get through the "clutter" now since so much more information about religion, philosophy, human psychology and brain biology has become avaliable. So that thinking has changed a bit for the worlds researchers/deep thinkers on these matters.

My rock bottom came one night and I felt terror and despair throughout my being. I made no excuse for my sins, I begged for God to forgive me. I did not want to ever sin again. I did not ever want to disappoint Him again. Immediately after my prayer to Almighty God, my guilt vanished, my suffering from it vanished, my self loathing vanished. I had genuinely felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I had genuinely experienced what I had heard so many give testimony to, I had genuinely felt the burden and the guilt of sin lifted from me and in its place was left the most incredible peace that no song had ever prepared me for. I have always been difficult to convince of anything foreign to me and yet of my Salvation there is no doubt. My anger is gone, my envy and greed is gone. My wicked desires are gone and I have a love for this Supreme being we call Almighty God and a desire to only serve Him and worship Him now and always. My every thought is of Him. I feel Him in everything, I see His work in everything. I cannot stop thinking of Him, I don't want to stop thinking of Him. I weep everyday with joy thinking of Him. This is why we were created, to worship Him, to serve Him and to love Him forever. When I think of Heaven, I only want Him. When I think of eternity with Him, it's not long enough. I have literally stood inside a door and pulled myself into the jamb and held it tightly wishing it were Jesus Christ and longing more for Him than my next breath. I cry because I can't contain what is in me and I don't know how to express it into words to tell others. It overwhelms me, it consumes me and I want more and more. I've never been more certain of anything and I want to grab hold of unbelievers and shake them into submission yet I cannot. I can only tell them what God has done for me and that He revealed Himself to me and pray that one day they too will understand the truth as I have.

You should try articulate your arguments in a video against other christian theologians. I'm guessing you can't because you are self taught, self absorbed and self centred in your own truth. It was not you or your movement/teachers that bought the gospel to the world. You are just establishing with assertion on the internet which millions of people do using the Bible. If you was in truth, you would be able to show the credentials of this truth, you would be able to show your work in exposing this truth.

All you can do is post verses suiting your theology by totally ignoring the rest of scripture. I'm guessing you do not believe in the NT, then make an argument on video articulating yourself then see if you are brave enough to take it onto a respectful timed debated.

It is amazing about His faithfulness to His sheep. So many times have I strayed greatly, but He ALWAYS goes out to bring me back. We so often forget how He loves His sheep unconditionally and ALWAYS pulls us back into the fold. How do we know that we are truly His sheep if we leave his fold? His grace is irresistable to us. Most don’t know that to start with, when C. S. Lewis first started out writing he did not know the Lord Jesus Christ. He learned about Jesus from a friend. In his first writings he is extremely dark (before knowing Jesus). So he learned of Jesus. He investigated and searched for Jesus. After that C. S. Lewis’s writings shows the depth to which he came to know our Lord Jesus the Christ. To me this shows the importance of TALKING about the love of our lives JESUS to EVERYONE. It’s important to remember GOD’S WORD IS ALIVE. As the word says, do not wonder as to what you will say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. What we need to do is to read the Bible continually so that Holy Spirit has much to draw on to give us the words to say. Speak to everyone. You might not know the outcome. Maybe it will take years for a person to come to the Lord, I know, it took me years. I’m grateful to the Lord for all the ones whom he sent to share with me the life saving message of Jesus.

How can the moral teachings from a man from 2000 years ago be so sound and so timeless? Everything Jesus said is still applicable and true. "The product of a sane mind" unlike most cult leaders or charismatic leaders. His instructions to love one another was just incredible. If Christ is fiction then his creation was divinely inspired. For many, that is enough to follow him.

Jesus came into a human body, in a stable, in the dark, to bring light into the world.
He lived among us as a nobody, until during the last 3 years of His life, He started to have huge crowds follow Him. Some of them hoped to see another miracle, some hoped for healing and others may not have known why they were so drawn to Him.
He suffered seperation from His Father and died for us. You just can't get someone having your back more than that. Then, he returned to that ruined, nasty human body 3 days later and healed it and got up. Did you know that 300 or so people were resurrected at that same time? Doubtless the power that infused the resurrection was like a wave that blasted the nearby graves and newly dead.
He appeared among the disciples and stayed with them for 40 more days. This, we are told, was to give us confidence that death had been defeated.
I want to assure you that Jesus has not deserted you. This is a horrible time we are living in. I am old and I can tell you, it has become much worse on a spiritual level. And that hurts on a physical level. No, Jesus does not always give us the things we think we need. And sometimes angels must oppose the demons opposing you. (See the book of Daniel for an example.)
As far as convincing another person, no, we are to defend the gospel and announce the Good News, however, it is the work of the Holy Spirit to convict the souland bring it to repent and become reborn. I just say that truth in love. Often, it is given to me to plant the seed, reaffirm or strengthen and remind. So, I say to you, my dear one, God does love you deeply. He died for you and rose for you. He waits for you with patience. He is not angry with you, even when He seems far away. ⚓

If Jesus wasn't a part of our history why would we as a whole people go by the timelines B.C (Before Christ) the bible is a history book for all. It's the only history book to not be twisted to make people look good. It makes humans look terrible and even the people God chose to represent Him. If you want to call out bad churches fine. But don't come to a reading of C.S Lewis on youtube and say you're not convinced of Jesus or God. There are many unbelievers. What makes you so different? Absolutely Nothing.

Parenting gives such an insight to the mind of God and the reason for Christ’s mission. If you’ve ever had a son or daughter who has struggled, who has made bad choices that could or does devastate their lives, you understand the impulse, the desire, to take their burden upon yourself. To suffer so they don’t have to. Because you love your child unconditionally you would, if you could, take the penalty for them... pay their price in order to free them. But because we are not God we cannot take their place, we cannot pay their price. But God can, and did... because we are his children and his love for us is truly the unconditional love of the perfect parent.

When the Lord Jesus said to the religionists of the age that they searched the scriptures (which testified "concerning Me") hoping to find life in them, yet would not come to Him for life, I was convicted and enlightened, and can now share that Christ is now my life, and, in an experiential, abounding way, that to me to live is Christ. I love Him, and call upon His name to (as in epikalleo Gk.) invoke His person, through praying His Word, repenting in the consequent light, confessing, and turning my heart, that I may be unveiled to behold, in exercised spirit, His glorious face and thus be saturated with Him as life eternal, with all the divine attributes of God expressed in His human virtues, ultimately adding His very self to me that I may continue to live Him, and to live to Him. OH, What a Life!!! May all His believers enter into this normal christian experience by His mercy and grace. Read in full the ministry of Watchman Nee and his younger co-worker Witness Lee to appreciate and apprehend this.

I like this ALLOT! This is the first time I've ever heard C.S. Lewis remark on this side of the spectrum. If he believes in some sort of hell - enough to write "The Screwtape Letters", then it stands to reason he would believe in Heaven as well. I have read "The Screwtape Letters" long ago, back in high School when I came across it simply browsing in a library one day. I never really knew C.S. Lewis was such a wise person! He is also one of the few people I've seen that has picked up that little fact about Christ that most people don't know - that Christ is the ONLY one out of ALL religious figures that actually made the claim to be The Son of God. That is correct. Some excellent points made on something many people have a hard time believing. I am not one of those people. It's easy for me to believe because it's practical, moral and simple. I am blessed.

C.S. Lewis provides some interesting perspective. On the question of "What are we to make of Jesus"? If one disregards all of the accompanying stories of miracles in Jesus' life and simply considers his logic, there can be no question of the unique and profound meaning of it. For instance, "turn the other cheek". That is by all historical accounts of human life, absurd. No one else has ever embraced such a seemingly self destructive philosophy, only him. And yet if we open our thoughts and consider the big picture it becomes far less absurd. We as a species are the Hatfield's and McCoy's. We live by the feud and the creed of an eye for an eye. But who really won between the Hatfield's and McCoy's? They would have all been far better off embracing compassion for one another. What an absurd concept. But Jesus was right. The miracles he performed were just the side perks of learning from a far superior level of understanding.

We are to make, that Jesus Christ created the universe and this world that we live in. That He made us. That He wrote a book of rules and regulations that we should live by, because He, Himself, is a perfect God. But knowing that we could never and would never abide by those rules, made a way around His own rules, through His sacrificial death on the cross ... taking our sins upon Himself so that we would be free of them if we acknowledge our sins and repent. I cannot write this without crying from the overwhelming emotion that someone, anyone, would love me enough to suffer on a cross for me.

Although more philosophical, it reminds me of a Billy Graham sermon on "What are we to do about Jesus, this Man called the Christ". We have to do something. Simple acknowledgement is the same as rejection, because it is not acceptance. I have friends in academia who admit that there was a historical person called Christ, but they have never taken the next step; which is to humble themselves enough to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

Those who accept Him will be prepared by having the full armor of God on (Ephesians 6:10-18) and have their lamps filled w/oil (Matthew 1-13) ready for His coming. Those who reject will have to prepare to suffer the consequences of their decisions and actions. (John 12:48) Revelation (20:15)

I have to disagree about the 'much more information' comment of yours regarding Religion, Philosophy and Human Psychology. Brain biology sure we constantly advance here. But please give me some examples of more information being made available or advances made in Religion (this bit didnt really make any sense at all) unless you mean new religions that have been born?
Again same question for your philosophical point? The right way to live will always be the right way to live ya know? Now our cultures have been changed by the powers at the top I get. We are being guided and corralled in a certain way. But philosophically, have we had another Jesus or Marcus Aurellius? No we haven't. Same point for Psychology. What great breakthroughs have we had since C.S Lewis passed? Most people, so the main stream and any one with a 'good education' or should we say indoctrination is told that Freud is God. That Einstein is God. That Darwin is God.
Anyways I am really interested to see your reply on this maybe I am missing these advances.
Hope to get a reply. This isn't an attack at all. I just see a gaping crater in your argument that is all.

It's an irrational belief system. So is its rejection. Much in this life is unanswerable and ineffable. If Jesus works for you, then I applaud. If Jesus is an archetype for you, the human ideal, then I applaud. Whether or not you "believe," conceptualizing the ideal is how we make ourselves and this world a better place, and in my opinion, it's quite likely that's all that Jesus was trying to teach us. "God's Kingdom on Earth" may be nothing more than "Be kind. Live in love."

@Wee Mac It does work. I have seen it many times in my life. He answers prayer in his own time and in his own way and makes it clear. With faith and trust and a personal relationship with God you will see it yourself. God is not just a genie in a bottle that grants a wish but more like a loving father that wants only the best for you and shows you how to achieve it with his knowledge. if you shun him and do not accept what he is offering you, you will be lost.

@Wee Mac Your comment isn't very sensitive when someone is about to lose someone who means a lot to them. A Debbie Downer kind of comment to make. But maybe you've never faced losing someone you loved. A person wants to do something to help, so they pray. Why bring them down? And, in fact, you can't really "prove" whether prayer works or not.
