Of my car (Of my)
Wipe the lash off my face (Ca-a-ar)
I have whiplash
So young
So smart
So young
So smartChemistry teacher
Never prepared me for this (Never prepared me)
Only one around is my math teacher
Livin on a cul-de-sac is hard
Living on a cold winter's night
Never around
Living on a backstreet this (Never around)
Never around
Every morning I wake I'm watching my face in the rearview
Every morning I breakout of my car
Every morning I breakout and wanna leave (For a week)
Every morning I just
Make it further in love

Every morning
Every morning
Every morning
Every morning
Every morning (Every morning)
Every morning (Tonight)
Every night is in the morning time I close my eyes and wish upon a star goodnight
I asked you to just friend me on your Instagram my friend I met to take care of it
Now my car is where I sleep (Now my car)
And my leather seats are stained with hair cream (The leather seats are stained)I got a grain of glass (Stuck in my eye)
In my eye (Don't know why)
Wishing I did not have
The eyesight I have
(Looking into the light)
Every morning, every night
(Either we'll sleep or we'll drive)
Every morning... (We're looking into these, let me see)
It'll feel fine (Please let me see)
Looking into the light
Pretty soon it'll be alright
We're looking into these, let me see
Walking by my eyes
Every morning, every morning
I'm just walking by the
Every morning, every morning
Every morning I'm just
Walking by the
Store that I met
You at when I
Met you the first time
Every morning I'm just waiting to see you the last time
Every morning, every morning
Every morning I'm just
Waiting for you
To call me again
We'll make it
To see
Every morning
I'm just waiting
Every morning
I'm just wasting time
The lyrics to "So So Hood" by C.R.I.$.I.$ depict a sense of longing, frustration, and perhaps even desperation. The singer is in the backseat of their car, wiping the lash off their face, indicating a tired and worn-out state. The repetition of "So young, so smart" suggests a feeling of being mature and intelligent, but feeling like they have been unprepared for the challenges they are currently facing. The mention of their chemistry teacher not preparing them for this situation and the absence of anyone else but their math teacher further emphasizes their isolation and lack of guidance.
Living on a cul-de-sac, they express the difficulties they face, possibly implying a sense of stagnation or feeling trapped. They mention never being around, living on a backstreet, and waking up to watch their face in the rearview every morning, which could symbolize a repetitive and unfulfilling routine. The lyrics also touch on the desire for escape and yearning for love.
The mention of their car becoming their sleeping place and the stained leather seats represents a decline in their circumstances. They mention a grain of glass stuck in their eye, which could be interpreted as a metaphorical pain or discomfort caused by their current situation. The repeated lines about looking into the light and waiting for someone to call them again further emphasize their longing for change and connection.
Overall, "So So Hood" portrays a sense of dissatisfaction, longing, and a yearning for something more in life.
