Someday
C2C Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You′re left wanting more
Of the chemical that fills your veins
And drains our reservoir of hope for you
You're saturated
You′re sedated
You concentrate on your next move
So go on and make it...
No guilt to hide from you, at all
Because I tried and I failed

But someday you'll break away
Someday you'll drag yourself out
Still, I wish you could feel just how I feel for you
If you could someday

Like an eraser touches paper
The plans you′ve sketched into your book have vanished
Take a second look, they′re gone
Your plans have changed
Your dreams have faded

But life is full of second tries
Go on and take it

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to C2C's song "Someday" depict the struggle of someone who is trapped in a cycle of addiction, seeking a substance (the "chemical") that momentarily fills their veins but ultimately drains their hope. The person is saturated and sedated, focused solely on their next move to obtain the substance. The singer acknowledges that there is no guilt to hide from, as they too have tried and failed to help this person. However, the singer holds onto the belief that someday this individual will break away from their addiction and find the strength to recover.

The lyrics convey a sense of longing and empathy towards the person battling addiction. The line "I wish you could feel just how I feel for you" suggests that the singer deeply cares for this individual and wants them to experience the same feelings of love and concern. The reference to an eraser touching paper symbolizes the abrupt disappearance of the person's plans and dreams due to their addiction. Despite the setbacks, the lyrics offer a glimmer of hope, emphasizing that life provides second chances, and encouraging the person to seize that opportunity.

Thank you C2C for showing the world that turntables are still alive.

Definetly one of the best songs C2C has ever produced.

I think the best "song" they ever produced was their 2005 DMC finals performance. Tetra is good musically, but their DMC routines were straight turntablism dopeness.
