According to his website, Rosenfeld's dream is to work for a company that doesn't outsource music and sound. Rosenfeld cites his brother as a major, "unnoticed," influence in his musical career. Rosenfeld's brother initially introduced him to Ableton, his first music production software, which he used to create "mash-ups of two songs." Rosenfeld continued to produce music as a "productive hobby" gradually improving and got involved in the indie game community. Spending time in TIGSource's IRC channel, Rosenfeld started to learn of the "infinitely complicated art of game design", and through the same channel met Markus "Notch" Persson who was only just started the idea process of 'Minecraft.' I actually used to play Minecraft by myself pretty often. There is a special kinda of loneliness— it’s not good nor bad— this neutral kind of isolation that feels comforting. Like being in your bed surrounded by stuffed animals or one of those moments of rare calmness where you just appreciate some of the smallest things and how wonderful it is to be alive to witness and experience those things.

I used to play Minecraft alone. As an only child I was used to playing alone but I have so many great memories taking care of animals and making bad houses. I had a lot of moments where I sorta wished I was friends with the first generation of Minecraft YouTubers.

I have played Minecraft with others before. I have some bittersweet memories of playing on the Xbox360 with my neighborhood friends. I might’ve been a bit of a prick. I don’t talk to them anymore despite all of us still living in this neighborhood at least as far as I’m aware.

In high school my desire to play Minecraft was reignited with a new friend group, a group I love very dearly even now. Our server and then the hyperfixation on the new generation of Minecraft YouTubers had really been something special I doubt will be replicated.

Minecraft makes me feel nostalgic and lonely but not in a smothering way. It’s gentle and comforting.

Minecraft’s importance in video game history has had such an impact on so many lives. I’m just glad that we have the silly block game with such a wonderful composer.

I’m probably rambling but idk it’s kinda nice. Thank you for reading through this and humoring my thoughts.

I'm listening to this 2 hours before I have to go leave to move into my new dorm at my college. I can hardly hold back my smile now as I think about the young men and women of the generation who grew up playing this game as they also go to college, or move on with their lives, doing the greatest things they can. That's what you think, and I wouldnt blame you. I used to think the samw thing, and I've played minecraft since 2013. Recently, last summer actually, I felt that feeling again. I got a realm going and got my friends to all play with me. I'd spend hours mining and collecting resources for my mansion. Although most of them dont play with me anymore, I still get that feeling when playing with my girlfriend and looking back on a great build.

I love this song. Cause it can express many things with only one title and a melody. The start might represent a human who feels like someone who hasnt achieved much, even being 1 in 8 billion, like a mouse in venus. Further in the song we can hear a stronger melody, a buildup to a most lovely part that is able to express many emotions: proudness, fulfillment, happiness, the feeling when you achieve something which you thought was impossible. This sentiment can make you feel big, big enough to accomplish what you want to, big enough to feel complete.
This, at least, is my opinion. You can have your own way of representing this song.

Day by day I sit in my home getting older, losing perception of time. Just yesterday I was 10 years old playing Minecraft on my ps3, and everything was perfect. Now, at 6pm on a sunday evening I’m listening to this music, wondering when I will place my last block, mine my last diamond, trade my last emerald, eat my last apple, enchant my last sword, throw my last ender pearl, open my last chest, and craft my last tool. This game is legendary. It shouldn’t ever be forgotten, stolen, or recreated a new. It is more than perfect, it is beautiful.

This makes me cry. I wish i knew how to go back and have fun. i miss the old minecraft.
i dont think i will ever get that nostalgia back, but i will cherish it. i remember the first time i played minecraft. i found it fun. i griefed my friends bases and got locked up in a mountain.I look back at everything i would give up almost, anything to be back there playing minecraft. i find it amazing how a couple of piano keys make up our childhood.

You know what 's crazy? The amount of emotional value these tracks have on us. We ALL grew up playing this game 6, 8, 10 years ago! And we've come back to appreciate the memories we've made from this beautiful game. And while it's not the same as it used to be, and the game has changed into something completely different, at least it's touching the hearts of this new generation of kids even if they do act odd at times. But at least the game is still living on 10+ years later. That's crazy.

Nobody will come across this comment, but this is my interpretation of the name of this music.
It represents exploring a new world. Like mice, on the planet Venus. They miss their home, but their home is miles away now. So is yours. Your dogs and cats are waiting for you at home, unaware that you cannot return, unaware that you’re far away in a distant land. These memories may become blurry as you explore, but you still shed a tear thinking about them.

Whenever I come to these videos I find people reminiscing over nostalgic memories and generally regretting taking those good times for granted, but I still play Minecraft even now over a decade later, I’m still making memories even after my childhood has ended.
So this song isn’t so much a reminder of a time since past, but rather a reminder to continue making memories for as long as time will allow.

This song was my favourite when this song was released. But my friend Zach also liked this song we listen this together and we had a great time doing survival and building and listening to this song. I'm so glad I grew up with this, mining diamonds, being filled with excitement. Making your first ever house. Remembering it, remembering every block you placed. Remember finding your first ever village. Dying for the first time, being filled to the brim with frustration, but still coming back. Finding your first spawner. And sadly stop playing this beautiful masterpiece of a game. But eventually logging back into it after not playing it for many years. You hear this amazing song playing, memories flooding your brain of your childhood. And slowly tears fill your eyes. As you traverse these amazing lands, new biomes, fighting new mobs and completely finishing the game, millions of times. This song brings tears of joy to my eyes. I hope everyone feels the exact same, feeling of nostalgia in their heart, sharing similar memories of Minecraft.

Esta fue una época de mi vida, una época muy buena. Recordar los primeros días que jugaba Minecraft es más que nostalgia y realmente ahora deseo volver a esos buenos tiempos.

En esos tiempos también añoraba mi época anterior a cuando jugaba, ya que yo comencé a jugar Minecraft a los 13 años aproximadamente, así que en esa época lo que añoraba era cuando era muy niño y jugaba con mi PS1 o juegos random de internet en la computadora. Pero aún así Minecraft me acompaño en una adolescencia donde me adentre de nuevo a un mundo de videojuegos en consola.

I love how the song starts out incredibly depressing and makes you reminisce on past times and how you will never get those moments back again, but it then plays the same depressing melody with an added hopeful supporting track in the background. While you may not be a kid anymore, it doesn’t mean that you can’t still make new awesome memories. Just because you grow up, doesn’t mean you have to stop acting like a kid.

This song used to make me incredibly sad, but not anymore. Don’t be sad that those times are gone, be glad that they happened. :)
