He has done it all on his own and definitely on his own terms. I can't stop
I can't stop
I can't stop
I can't stop living in slow mo
I don't want anything less
Listen to the days go, listen to the days go by
Give me your heart when it's true
I can see the days go, I can see the days go by
Don't look back
Don't look back, unless you know
Everything has got to go
You will never know (when?) your heart breaks
'Till you give it away
The lyrics to CJ Stone's song "Don't Look Back" speak about the struggle to stay present in the moment and move forward without regrets. The repetition of "I can't stop" may reflect the feeling of being stuck in one place, unable to move forward or let go of the past. The line "I can't stop living in slow mo" suggests the desire to savor each moment fully and not rush through life.
The second verse speaks directly to a loved one, asking for their hand and heart, perhaps as a way to ground oneself in the present moment. The line "give me your heart when it's true" suggests the importance of authenticity and honesty in relationships. The chorus repeats the phrase "don't look back," reminding the listener to focus on the present and not dwell on the past. The final line "you will never know your heart breaks till you give it away" may refer to the vulnerability that comes with opening oneself up to love and relationships, and the risk of heartbreak that comes with it.
Overall, the song encourages living in the present moment, taking risks, and not dwelling on past mistakes or losses.
