The band was originally formed as Camp Kill Yourself with live bassist Ryan Bruni. He was replaced by Vernon Zaborowski in 2000, left the band in 2004. Matt Deis joined in 2005 as the first full-time bassist of the band, but left in May 2010 and was replaced by Matt "Matty J" Janaitis, previously a live keyboardist with the group. In 2011 frontman Deron Miller left the band, and in 2012 he was replaced with Year Long Disaster vocalist Daniel Davies. On July 20, 2013, Miller posted on his official Facebook page that he was back in CKY. However, he has since left the band again. This has split CKY (and it's fanbase) in two, with Miller forming 96 Bitter Beings (formerly known as MechaCKY) and Ginsburg, Margera and a returning Matt Deis continuing the official CKY lineage as a three-piece, with Ginsburg taking over vocal duties.
CKY has released five studio albums, and are currently recording their sixth.

CKY Lyrics

Don't know what is wrong
So they're knee deep
Knee deep in sorrow
In CKY's song Knee Deep, the lyrics depict a sense of hopelessness and despair, as the singer describes people who are unable to identify or understand their problems, leading them to be consumed by moments of sadness and depression. The phrase "Knee deep in sorrow" emphasizes the depth of the emotional turmoil that these individuals find themselves in, where they have become so immersed in their feelings that they are virtually trapped.
The repetition of the phrase "don't know" throughout the verse further emphasizes the concept of confusion and not knowing how to handle feelings of despair. The song suggests that those who are "knee deep in sorrow" may be unable to escape their own sense of despair, since they are unaware of the steps they need to take to improve their situations.
Overall, Knee Deep is an introspective song that invites listeners to consider the nature of sorrow and the ways that people can become trapped in their feelings, unable to find a way out.
