He moved to Santa Cruz, close to San francisco, California, and in 1998 started a recording studio with Nicolas Oesch, one of the founders of Biodegradable years after, and produced various local solo artists and bands, as well as his individual projects.

He started his solo project Central Processing Unit (CPU), a very personal sound, on the dark cutting edge of the experience. The new project received an immediate and strong response from the dance floor, the core of the party that happens in the darkness of the night, where Samy concentrates his efforts to extract the pure essence of the experience.

I buy all my own stuff too, but I don't make videos. Good video where you explained everything in simple terms. Glad you didn't try to cover every possible thing with multiple coolers and different brands of fans. Every application is going to be slightly different and you can't cover them all. But what you did give is a good example for people to begin with.

did it with my NH-D15 CHROMAX BALCK. and my temps and overclocking have been a lot better than my previous AIO I made sure to add an additional rear exhaust fan to my case for better cooling. I also added two 140mm Fans that are postioned above my VRMS and Air cooler so it gets cool quick af

Found a push alone is cooler, but would sometimes spike up for second and go back down. The push pull was slightly warmer, but stayed put and never had quick spikes. I never got throttling with a push, so Im probably gonna remove the pulls.

The pull fan should run faster than the push fan in order to create a vacuum, that really made the different for me on a hyper evo

What is the thickness on that rad? looks pretty slim. When testing the temp differences with different fan configs it has been shown that fin density (ie on thicker rads 45mm and thicker) seems to matter quite a bit. For this I'd like to reference the test videos done by Jays2cents. I would be interested to see more tests done with different rad thicknesses along with different fan configs. Something that might also prove as an interesting experiment would be testing push/pull configs with a combination of high static and air flow fans instead of exclusively using high static pressure fans.

I'm surprised there's (to my knowledge) not a single test out there testing what I think is the most important question here:
What is the noise level difference between push-pull vs push (or pull) with the radiator(s) built into a closed case (instead of an open test bench)? Then, for push-pull, the fans inside the case (on the other side of the radiator) should be somewhat acoustically insulated, so the additional noise vs. a push configuration should be much less.
E.g. my GPU is quite noisy under load (coilwhine) with the sidepanel open, but I can't hear it at all with the panel closed.

I get what you're saying, but the issue with testing inside a case, is every case is different, so what case should someone use to do sound testing? A meshed front panel will be louder than a solid front panel with ventilation on the sides.... Testing with an open air test bench eliminates these variables. In my case testing I do sound testing to see how well sound insulated the case is.

Hey y’all! I know this is an older video but I’m not sure what to do. I just freshly built my PC with a 13700k paired with a 3 fan model gigabyte RX6600xt that even under full load would only get to 40c. In order to cool my cpu as it’s one of the hottest cpus to try and cool now, I got a Corsair aio 360mm rad lcd screen and put it in a push pull configuration. Automatically I noticed my cpu is at 20 just idling which is amazing! But my gpu under load is at 80c which is extremelyy hot. My case is a Corsair 4000D airflow so it’s a pretty open case. I have 2 coolermaster sickleflow fans exhausting out the top and one exhausting out the rear. But my system is running hot still, my guess is not enough cooling. How can I introduce cold air into the system? The 360mm rad doesn’t fit at the top, only front of the case

@Hardware For Gamers My case fans blow toward my cpu cooler which is also blowing in the direction of the case fans. My CPU Cooler is double sided with two fans so the rear side fan is also fighting with the exhaust fan.

Yeah I get what you're saying. And it is odd I'm just not sure how much it would affect the CPU temperature which is why I kind of want to run some tests because, I have a Golden Field windwalker that I will be testing that's very similar to what you're talking about.

@Hardware For Gamers My temperatures are amazing even with an overclock. I guess it is because my case has the top open as a vent. This is just something that annoys me personally because there is turbulence inside the case. I think it doesn't make a difference though because it exits from the top and the rear exhaust.

Depending on the CPU you should get some temperature benefit, just not very much 😅

temp differences can range widely with 1vs2 fans and much depends on case air flow. I have another cooler on the way but took this tiny cryorig M9i on a 10700f (4.6-4.7Ghz all cores) and the difference while gaming is 1-2*c. I think what the 2nd fan does mainly is speed the air through which cools the air since it's compressed through the fins. Minor but seems to be minimal differences unless dealing with the likes of a Noctua D15 or a DeepCool neptwin which both have twin tower coolers and those specialize in dealing with serious heat and long term so you'll see the differences when more power is used and for prolonged amounts of time. Many test results show that a $100 cooler vs a $40 cooler is about 3-5*c though sometimes up to 15c...really depends upon the processor and cooler and again, case air flow

Can i run 11600k no overclocking with deepcool gamaxx 400xt white, I'll be changing the fan to 120mm white halo CM fan. I thought of push pull but i think this specific deepcool cooler doesn't provide extra fan clips. So can i run 11600k with 1 120mm fan?

With no overclock, you will be fine. So you'll need to make sure to check the power limit option on the motherboard to make sure it's not just running with no power limit. Asus likes to have that on by default.

please someone answer me:

i have a small case, and the cpu cooler (AIO 240mm radiator is set up in the front of the case, as PUSH ). the CPU temp is NOT my question. i have however noticed that the GPU temps are higher than i would like 40 idle, 75 load. will adding two 120 mm fans in pull configuration help "cool" and improve the airflow to the GPU , keeping it cooler? can i see perhaps a drop in 5 to 10 degrees.

due to the case being limited in space. i can NOT put the radiator on top of the case (inside). so my only other option is to get a 1 fan 120mm AIO ,, or an air cooler, then add 2 to 3 front case fans.

please comment about my first solution. i don't want to change my 240mm radiator AIO , since it cools the CPU almost perfectly.

It really depends on the case, do you have fans exhausting the hot air? Doing so will likely help lower the temperatures. Again it depends on the case.

the case has the "typical" rear exhaust fan , within the case it is above the GPU slot. it has an additional exhaust fan on the top , right above where the CPU is located. the front of the case has the radiator. only other fan is on the power supply. im just wondering if adding two pull fans on the radiator , will decrease temps on the GPU. since it will be blowing air, it helps the flow inside the case. my concern is that since this is "processed" air, from the radiator, it might even make things worse. lol

@Hardware For Gamers i mean technically would the pulled air coming from the radiator, be enough to cool the GPU some more. the GPU is one of those open configurations, where the hot air is dissipated in multiple directions. if push comes to shove , i will replace the AIO cooler, with a fan cooled heatsink like a cooler master 212. and then add 3 case fans to the front. hopefully the CPU temp doesnt go up too much . but man, im impressed with the CPU temps. at load on poorly optimized games, it doesnt go past 55 degrees celsius.

@Lady FairChild Video a lot of the time when a GPU is hot it's because the GPU is essentially cooking itself. This happens because there's too much hot air in the case.

im new to pc building so im gonna ask here before i blow up something and note that im not familliar to some term being used. ok so im trying to set up a push pull set up in my radiator that im gonna place in front of my case with 3 fans being on front of the radiator facing the outside and blowing air to radiator. the problem start where my case is too small and i didnt realize it before buying it so it wont be able to carry 3 more fans behind the radiator facing the cpu. so what im thinking is just putting 2 fans facing the cpu attach to the radiators back and 3 on the other side to a total of 5 fans only instead of the usual 6. will i have problem if i do this like this or its totally ok? would really appreciate the help

Just as long as the airflow of the fans are moving The air in the same direction, there's no issue. It might look a little odd, and the performance might be slightly lessened, but for a 360 mm radiator I doubt your really going to run into that.

@Hardware For Gamers If you look it up ppl say duel fan is useless and push is surprisingly the most affective option. I think the overall idea is great air pressure on the push than the pull.
