Feel so good
Cactus Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And outer galaxy, Alpha Centauri

Feels good
I'm stranded on a spaceship hideaway
And something makes me think I'm here to stay
I'm so happy where I am

Feels good
I've journeyed to the other atmospheres
And every breath I take just makes it clear
I'm holding Heaven in my hands
It's automatic baby and it

Feels good
When it feels so good
Feels good
When it feels so good

Feels good
These extra-sensory sensations
Are causing me some complications
Electrostatic information

Feels good
I'm playing with a pleasure trafficker
Arriving soon intergalactica
I'm holding Heaven in my hands
It's automatic baby and it feels good

Feels good
Feels good
Feels good

Feels good
When it feels so good
Feels good
When it feels so good

Feels good
When it feels so good
Feels good
When it feels so good

Feels good
Feels so good
Feels so good
Feels so good

Feels good
Feels so good
Feels so good
Feels so good

Feels good
I'm stranded on a spaceship hideaway

Feels good
When it feels so good
Feels good
When it feels so good

Feels good
When it feels so good
Feels good
When it feels so good

I'll fight for the Moon, Mars, Jupiter

Feels good
When it feels so good
Feels good
When it feels so good

Feels good
When it feels so good

Feels good
When it feels so good

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Cactus's song "Feel So Good" take the listener on a journey through outer space, where the singer finds himself stranded on a spaceship hideaway. As he explores different atmospheres and experiences extra-sensory sensations, he expresses his happiness and contentment with the feeling of holding Heaven in his hands. The repetition of "feels good" throughout the song serves as a mantra for the singer as he describes the automatic pleasure he is experiencing.

The lyrics also convey a sense of adventure and excitement, as the singer sings about fighting for the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter. However, the electrostatic information and complications caused by the extra-sensory sensations show that the journey is not always easy. The use of space-related imagery and language creates a unique world for the listener to explore and adds to the dreamlike quality of the song.

Overall, "Feel So Good" is a song about the power of taking a leap and exploring new worlds, both physically and emotionally. It's an invitation to experience pleasure and embrace the unknown, even if it comes with some complications along the way.

One of Carmine's best solos, what I always liked about Carmine was his metronome-like since of timing and the way he'd build off the double bass rhythm (2:17) and the perfectly timed syncopated rolls (2:36)  he'd incorporate into a song, you can tell he learned under someone from the big-band era days...excellant style

Appice was one of the very best of his era...........at least!

Carmine Appice really used the snare in this solo. Nice to hear those high notes besides the toms. Awesome.

@bflo1000 Not only is Appice as good as the "other" rock drumming greats, he's the inspiration for many of them, including Bonham, Singer, Paice, Kramer, Collins, and Taylor. Rock on!

bflo1000

I always thought he was as good as the other rock drumming greats.
