Wonder how it came to be
Feels just like a tempo
Lifted by a gentle breeze
Ugly as a suitcase
I can see it stretch for days
Hanging on a sunset
Softly trampled by the rain
Way too long
Hold on
Hold on
Dead and gone
So long
Hold on
Way too long
Hold on
Hold on
Dead and gone
So long
Hold on
So long
Hold on
Looking out my window
Trying to find a hiding place
Climb up to the tree tops
Watch it all just drift away
Way too long
Hold on
Hold on
Dead and gone
So long
Hold on
Way too long
Hold on
Hold on
Dead and gone
So long
Hold on
So long
Hold on
Way too long
Hold on
Hold on
Dead and gone
So long
Hold on
Way too long
Hold on
Hold on
Dead and gone
So long
Hold on
So long
Hold on
The song "Flow" by Cage the Elephant is a reflective piece that captures the feelings of introspection and searching for a sense of inner peace. The opening line "Looking out my window, wonder how it came to be," sets the tone of the song, highlighting the pondering of life's complexities. The singer seems to be searching for a way to escape the obstacles they face with lyrics such as "Trying to find a hiding place, climb up to the tree tops, watch it all just drift away." The use of natural elements such as sunsets, rain, and tree tops provide visuals that aid in creating a peaceful mood.
The chorus of the song repeats two phrases: "Way too long, hold on, hold on, dead and gone, so long, hold on." The repetition of these phrases creates a sense of urgency and the desire to move on from a difficult situation. The second part of the chorus, "dead and gone, so long, hold on," could also be interpreted as the singer trying to hold on to a memory.
Overall, "Flow" by Cage the Elephant is a song that encourages listeners to reflect on their past experiences, find ways to let go of what holds them back, and achieve a sense of inner peace.

I think its weird that I thought this was great music to skate to at night when I was teen and since I only used spotify I never saw the music video. Great way to clear your head.
@PrettyRagdoll
This was perfect music to skate to. I thought so before I even saw the video
@_Christopher_Williams
Same! I skate, and was just thinking "this would be so good as the music for a video part", so I got on YouTube to see if they had a video, (which I've never seen until just now) and was so stoked to see that the entire video is just cruising through the streets. So damn awesome. I'm going to go skate now, with earbuds, and flow to this song. 🤙

I think why this video is so popular is that we all can relate to those warm summer nights with the cool breeze in your hair just having a good time.
