Calling Of Syrens started out in March of 2006 and since then has made a lot of progression in the local music scene and national music scene. With a solid line up the band is sure to make you look twice. Having their debut CD "Victims Of Foul Play" come out on August 30th the band started touring full time. With pulsing drum beats and ground shaking breakdowns that go along with brain squealing screams, the band is ready for the next level. Calling Of Syrens is a band who cares about their fans and music more than anything else in this world.
The band broke up after their first release, but reformed as the band people know today; The Word Alive, featuring both guitarist from the last COS lineup.

I remember first listening to this back when i believe i was 7 but i could've been 6, and at the time i had only been listening to the used, MCR, fall out boy, from first to last, and so on. This band opened the gate to the screaming genre for me, and I'll never forget them.
