In 2005, Camille released Le fil. This is a concept album, built on one note (a B) that starts at the beginning of the album and stops at its end. All the songs of the album are constructed on the voice of Camille with only one instrument (double-bass, and sometimes a keyboard).
Camille's third studio album Music Hole, released in March 2008, shows a key turn in her career: it is mostly sung in English.

Et le vie ce cortège défile
Tombe la neige
La danseuse se réveille s'étire
Moi je vais à pied
De mon lit à ma table y'a pas de bus
Dire que je vais rester
Toute la journée
Midi déjà
Et la vie ce manège tournoie
Bruits de fourchettes
Tous les restes que l'on jette
C'est pour moi
Puis vient le soir
Les amants dans le placard
Ça m'inspire
Dire que je vais passer
Toute la nuit
Assise

Camille's song "Assise" tells the story of a woman who spends her days sitting at a table, seemingly stuck in a repetitive and mundane cycle. The song begins with the dawn breaking and life passing by, represented by a parade. The dancer wakes up and stretches, but the singer simply walks from her bed to her table, with no bus available. She then spends the entire day sitting, while the carousel of life continues to spin. By midday, the sounds of forks clinking and scraps being thrown out fill the air, and it is no longer clear if it is the carousel or the woman who is spinning. The evening brings about amorous sounds from the closet, which inspires the singer to express her longing for something different. She describes her situation as being "triste" or sad, and compares herself to a "vieille anglaise" or an old English woman, stuck and constrained.
The song is a profound allegory that speaks to the power of our minds to hold us captive in repetitive cycles, and highlights the potential for growth and change. The woman's view from the window exists only in her head, and she is unable to physically engage in it, despite having a voice to sing and feet to run. The song challenges us to consider what it means to be truly alive, rather than just existing.
