The capriccioso part is very intense and that requires fast and intended vibrato to play as opposed to the rondo part where the soloist can be expressive with slow and broad vibrato. He’s not legendary like Milstein, Kogsn, Rabin, Heifetz ... but he’s extremely good and worth watching than the rest.

Well, you have to know that even with music sheets he'd have to find the right places with his fingers out of intuition, so playing with the eyes closed is not really something hard. Playing by heart is tho.

I perform violin regularly as well (not bad but much worse than ray obviously) and often get compliments for emotion (ie closed eyes)… what it actually is- I’m so nervous I close my eyes to not see the crowd lmao

Instead of trying to overwrite the author's piece with innovative garbage like most pop music does you perform the piece sublimely in such a way that shows deep emotion, colour to the piece and honour and respect to both the piece as well as the composer with amazing talent! It was his fave but thought that he was too young to skate for this Musical Piece. But now he has aged and has an enough arsenal in terms of Program Component and Technical Aspect too, he has the right to skate Rondo Capriccioso 😁
