After building some hype in the Hollywood Ca. area, the band quickly received some attention from the major record label Interscope. Their first release was the 'Mood Enhancer' Ep, this was supposed to be followed by a full CD. However, with success came drug problems which resulted in the group disbanding.
Years later, they joined up again. A full CD would be released by an indie lable titled 'Delongpre' (2002), which featured songs recorded years earlier.
A third release, 'Tell Them Hi' was released in 2003 by Interscope Records( yeah, they resigned them), received some critical praise, but their popularity did not seem to reach critical mass.
The band broke up for a 2nd time and lead singer Christian Stone is now pursuing with

I'm listenin' to the radio
I'm drivin' by your house
I'm callin' on the telephone
I'm smokin' like it's cool
I'm drinkin' like a drunken fool
I sit here in this room
With a razor blade and a broken tooth
[Chorus]
Woah
I'm cryin'
Woah
Is there somethin' I could do?
Is there somethin' I could say to you?
Is there somewhere we could go?
Somewhere to just be alone
They would never know
[Chorus]
[Refrain]
Is there somewhere we can go?
Somewhere just to be alone
I'm drinkin' by the pool
I'm drownin' a the thought of you
I'm feelin' like a fool
If I could only make it up to you
When I think, I think of you
When I drink, baby, I drink to you
So here's to you
[Chorus]
[Refrain]
Tell me why I'm broken down
'Cause I don't even know
Tell me where to go
Tell me where to go
Tell me where to go, oh
Woah
The lyrics of Campfire Girls' song Broken Tooth convey a sense of desperation and longing for someone who is out of reach. The singer seems to be in constant motion, driving past the person's house, calling them on the phone, smoking and drinking to cope. The mention of a razor blade and a broken tooth suggest self-harm or self-destructive behavior, possibly as a consequence of unrequited love. The chorus is a repeated cry of emotional pain, seeking some kind of resolution or relief from the anguish. The refrain further emphasizes the desire to have a private space with the object of affection. The final lines of the song are a plea for guidance, a question of where to go and what to do next.
The lyrics of Broken Tooth offer a glimpse into the intense emotions that can accompany infatuation, rejection, or unfulfilled desire. The tone is somewhat ambiguous, as the singer is both vulnerable and reckless, romantic and dangerous. The mention of a pool and drowning, as well as the razor blade, add layers of meaning and tension to the song. Broken Tooth is a haunting and evocative piece of music that explores the darker aspects of love and heartbreak.
