Tracks such as “Windjammer” and “Crusin” made it onto a number of compilations and are typical of Can 7’s style. Remix work for the likes of Moloko, Sonique, Ofra Haza, Randy Crawford, Levitation and Ricky Martin has established Can 7’s name on international dance floors. Peppermint Jams successful C.D. release “Destination Rio” mixed and compiled by Can 7, showed yet another dimension to his musical talents.
Levent was born in 1964 in Turkey and claims he was “born as a musician”. A long-term musical education and experience in playing several instruments - bass, guitar, keyboards and percussion make Levent a ‘real musician’. This is one of the reasons why Can 7’s remix work carries the reputation for adding a new dimension to a song.
Another reason for Can 7’s success is the fact that he works with such talented people. With the extraordinary vocals of Angela Caran and accomplished multi-instrumentalist Xavier Fischer (of Xavier Fischer Trio and Smoke City fame) the team effort of Can 7’s tracks really pay off. Can 7’s long-term studio partner Guido Craviero, another gifted songwriter and musician, make this winning combination complete.
Levent’s vast vinyl collection, broad musical taste, impressive musical background and a healthy dose of eclecticism make every Can 7 DJ set something very special. Levent’s first long player is due to be released in early 2002 on Peppermint Jam. Listening to the rough mixes it is evident that this album will be something quite amazing and should bring Can7 the recognition and credit he deserves.

My flesh and my bones
Is that the way it's supposed to be
How the story goes?
Ribbons and bows
Like a thorn on a rose
When the one man who gave it all to you
He found for me scarlet ribbons
Those scarlet ribbons for my hair
What becomes of a father's love
When another has his daughter's love?
Don't you know they'll never be above?
I'll always be your little girl
It's all borrowed time
And you always said I would regret it
If I grew up too fast
But my heart is strong and true
I'm doing fine
The things that you said, I won't forget them
I'll do as you ask
And always play fair for you
You found for me scarlet ribbons
Those scarlet ribbons for my hair
What becomes of a father's love
When another has his daughter's love
Don't you know they'll never be above?
I'll always be your little girl
There's a part of you
In every part of me, should know better
Maybe you should know
I won't let that go
Long as I can cry on your shoulder
Won't be growing up
Just older
You have got to let me go
You found for me scarlet ribbons
Those scarlet ribbons for my hair
What becomes of a father's love
When another has his daughter's love?
Don't you know they'll never be here but
I'll always be your little girl?
I'll always be, always be your little girl
Always be, always be your little girl
Always be, always be your little girl
Always be your little girl
You've got to let it go, oh, oh
You've got to let it go
You've got to let it go, oh
You've got to let it go
You've got to let it go, oh, oh
You've got to let it go
"Stronger" by Can 7 is a song that speaks to the difficulties of a father-daughter relationship. The opening lyrics, "From the cradle to the throne, my flesh and my bones, is that the way it's supposed to be? How the story goes?" introduces the central theme of the song - the relationship between a father and his daughter. The father has given his all to his daughter, but she has fallen in love with another man. The song explores the father's feelings of loss and regret as he watches his daughter grow up and move on.
The chorus of the song, "What becomes of a father's love when another has his daughter's love? Don't you know they'll never be above? I'll always be your little girl," speaks to the idea that the father's love for his daughter will never be replaced by her romantic partner. Despite the challenges of their relationship, the daughter recognizes the importance of her father's love and the impact he has had on her life.
The song concludes with the daughter reassuring her father that she will always be there for him, even as she moves on with her life. The lyrics, "There's a part of you in every part of me, should know better. Maybe you should know, I won't let that go. Long as I can cry on your shoulder, won't be growing up, just older. You have got to let me go," demonstrate the daughter's desire to maintain their relationship while also asserting her independence.
Overall, "Stronger" is a poignant and emotive exploration of the complex dynamics between fathers and daughters.
