Uçmak o diyara
Filitreli cigara
Ve sunturlu bir nara
Duyulur sesimiz
Alem-i berzahta
Evi evde bıraktık
Yükle marşandize dizine kadar
Şiir de lazımsa
Bahr-i hazerler el sallar
Şairi nazımsa
Kaldır o gemileri cebine de sakla
İçin sıkıldıysa
Zeval-i eleme de çıplak ayakla
Var oluyorduysa
Yükle marşandize dizine kadar
Şiir de lazımsa
Bahr-i hazerler el sallar
Şairi nazımsa
Kaldır o gemileri cebine de sakla
İçin sıkıldıysa
Zeval-i eleme de çıplak ayakla
Var oluyorduysa
Dilerdik Pir-i Şah
Uçmak o diyara
Filitreli cigara
Ve sunturlu bir nara
Duyulur sesimiz
Alem-i berzahta
Evi evde bıraktık
Refikalar nikahta
Yükle marşandize dizine kadar
Şiir de lazımsa
Bahr-i hazerler el sallar
Şairi nazımsa
Kaldır o gemileri cebine de sakla
İçin sıkıldıysa
Zeval-i eleme de çıplak ayakla
Var oluyorduysa
Yükle marşandize dizine kadar
Şiir de lazımsa
Bahr-i hazerler el sallar
Şairi nazımsa
Kaldır o gemileri cebine de sakla
İçin sıkıldıysa

The song "Bahr-i Hazer" by Can Bonomo includes repetitive verses with abstract imagery and metaphors that can be interpreted in various ways. The lyrics evoke a sense of longing for a different place and a desire for freedom and self-expression.
The first verse mentions the wish to fly to a different land, represented by the phrase "Dilerdik Pir-i Şah, Uçmak o diyara." This can be seen as a metaphor for escaping the confines of reality and exploring new horizons. The mention of a "filitreli cigara" (filtered cigarette) and a "sunturlu bir nara" (hoarse cry) adds to the ambiguity and mysterious atmosphere of the lyrics.
The second verse seems to suggest that the singer's voice is heard in another realm, referred to as "Alem-i berzahta" (the spirit world). The line "Evi evde bıraktık, Refikalar nikahta" (We left home, companions are at a wedding) indicates that the singer has left behind their previous life to embark on this journey. It can be interpreted as a metaphor for breaking free from societal norms and conventions to pursue personal aspirations.
The refrain of the song repeats the lines "Yükle marşandize dizine kadar, Şiir de lazımsa" (Load the merchandise up to your knees, if poetry is needed) and "Bahr-i hazerler el sallar, Şairi nazımsa" (The seas of the present wave, if the poet is the rhyme). These lines can be understood as a call to embrace creativity and unconventional thinking, even in difficult or uncertain times. The mention of "kaldır o gemileri cebine de sakla" (lift those ships, keep them in your pocket) suggests the importance of holding onto one's dreams and aspirations, no matter how challenging the circumstances may be.
The final lines of the song reinforce these themes and emotions. The repetition of the verses and the inclusion of phrases like "Zeval-i eleme de çıplak ayakla, Var oluyorduysa" (If it existed barefoot in the midst of sorrow, if it was coming into being) convey a sense of resilience and determination. Despite the hardships and hardships mentioned, the song ultimately emphasizes the strength and power of artistic expression and the pursuit of one's true self.
Overall, "Bahr-i Hazer" reflects a longing for liberation, creativity, and the courage to pursue one's dreams despite obstacles. The lyrics invite listeners to interpret the metaphors and imagery in their own unique ways, allowing the song to resonate with different individuals on a personal level.
