Candice consolidated on the success of her debut album – this time as an independent artist. Candice's second album was produced by Michael Szumowski. The first single from this album, “Before You Go” received radio airplay and spent 11 weeks in the Australian Singles Chart, peaking at number 16. The second single was "I Belong” which marked an up-tempo change of pace for Candice, with a chugging guitar line which compliments her immediately identifying vocals. When asked what “I Belong” is about Candice replies, "it is about moving on and being optimistic, about letting go of old things. It’s a positive song.”
Through Candice's success on her second album a US label approached her to do a remix of the 2003 hit single 'Falling' which climbed the USA Billboard Dance Charts and was a top 40 single, January 2009.
Playing acoustically or with her band, Candice is a natural live performer. Candice plays the piano and guitar. With mature, emotional lyrics, catchy melodies and a unique voice, Candice Alley is an instantly recognisable talent.

Candice Alley Lyrics

You're burning from your heat
But there's no time wasted
I'm falling at your feet
And I'm standing in the corner
But you don't know who I am
And I'm alone now
I wish you would dream with me
If you could only see
I'd wish, you'd dream with me
If you could only see
"Candice Alley's Colorblind" is a song that expresses the longing for someone who cannot reciprocate the same feelings. The track starts with the change of day to night, and the singer being enamored by the person they desire, who is burning from their heat. Despite the singer's efforts, they go unnoticed and unacknowledged by the person they desire. The singer is left standing in the corner, unrecognized and insignificant, pining for a love that can never be theirs. The use of the colorblind metaphor represents the emptiness and futility of this desire.
The lyrics of the chorus express the singer's plea to the love interest. They wish that the person they desire could see the depth of their feelings and dream along with them. The chorus repeats twice, emphasizing the singer's desire to be noticed and loved by their desire. The melancholic tone of the music, coupled with the desperation in the lyrics, creates a poignant atmosphere that resonates with those who have experienced unrequited love.

The day turns to night
The transition from light to dark signifies my feelings for you
You're burning from your heat
You're passionate and full of energy
But there's no time wasted
We're making the most of every moment spent together
I'm falling at your feet
I'm completely enamored with you
And I'm standing in the corner
I'm feeling insignificant and overlooked
But you don't know who I am
You barely acknowledge my presence
And I'm alone now
I'm feeling isolated and rejected
Because you're something I can't have
I know we can never be together
I wish you would dream with me
I yearn for you to imagine a future with me
If you could only see
If only you could see the potential for us to be together
I'd wish, you'd dream with me
I'm desperate for your companionship
If you could only see
My love for you is real, if only you could see it
