When it came to it, there was only one approach in order to create the sound that they had in mind for what it would turn out to be "El Tiempo y la Ciudad" ("The Time and The City"). That was to grab a van and start an epic journey from Tijuana all the way to Eudora, Kansas, drenching themselves in roads, landscapes, sunsets and songs.
Produced by Robb McLean from Limbeck and mixed by Ed Rose (Motion City Soundtrack, Get Up Kids, Reggie and the Full Effect), the twelve tracks that compose this album.

Canseco Lyrics

The lyrics to Canseco's song "El Mundo Se Acabo" (The World Ended) are both melancholic and introspective, as they reflect on the inevitability of change and the importance of making the most of every moment in life. The opening verse describes a woman who has gone to the beach to witness the sunset one last time before it disappears and swallows everything in the sea. This sense of finality is contrasted with the second verse, which speaks of a man who finally speaks to his mother after years of silence, assuring her that he hadn't forgotten her and that she need not cry anymore. The wistful tone of these verses sets the stage for the chorus, which poses the question: "And where were you when the world ended?"
The chorus paints a picture of two contrasting lifestyles. The singer was at the beach, singing a song and observing how the fish were swimming amidst the trash, while the person being addressed stayed at home and watched television, always waiting for someone or something to come and save them. The implication is that while the world may not have literally ended, it feels like it has for these people because they have failed to appreciate the beauty and wonder of life, instead opting to remain passive and disconnected.
Overall, "El Mundo Se Acabo" is a powerful reminder to seize the day and make every moment count. It encourages listeners to reach out to loved ones, live in the moment, and appreciate the beauty of the world around them.
