But you will never become a man
My chosen torture makes me stronger
In a life that craves the hunger
A Freedom and a quest for life
Until the end the judgment night
Righteous cause on judgment nights
Feel the sorrow the light has swallowed
Feel the freedom like no tomorrow
Stepping forth a cure for soul's demise
Reap the tears of the victim's cries
Yearning more to hear the suffer (of a)
Of a demon as I put it under
Killed before, a time to kill them all
Passed down the righteous law
Serve a justice that dwells in me
Lifeless corpse as far as the eye can see
The eye can see
The eye can see
The eye can see
The eye can see
The eye can see
Bless me with the
Leaf off of the tree
On it I see
The freedom reign
We are falling
The light is calling
Tears inside me
Calm me down
Midnight calling
Mist of resolving
Crown me, with the
Pure green leaf
Praise to my father (Life of vengeance, a passive test)
Blessed by the water (Until the grave I will rest)
Black night, dark sky (Engage the pressure until it crumbles)
The devil's cry (The existence of the lifeless black souls)
Bless me with the (Onward to the sacred battlefield)
Leaf off of the tree (Where justification and limits are revealed)
On it I see (Tools of steel in rage they conquer)
The freedom reign (Weed out the killing of victim's stalker)
We are falling (The powers proven to end the madness)
The light is calling (Upon I take it to end the savage)
Tears inside me (The rays of light a truth of meaning)
Calm me down (To my father the blood is pleading)
Midnight calling (A justice rage for all to feel)
Mist of resolving (With innocent cries and hatred squeals)
Crown me, with the (The gore of evil seems to satisfy)
Pure green leaf (When slain an maimed and pacified)
Bless me with the (My chosen torture makes me stronger)
Leaf off of the tree (In a life that craves the hunger)
On it I see (A Freedom and a quest for life)
The freedom reign (Until the end the judgment night)
Praise to my father (Watch the footsteps but never follow)
Blessed by the water (If you want to live tomorrow)
Black night, dark sky (Steel a soul for a second chance)
The devil's cry (But you will never become a man)
The song "DEVILS NEVER CRY" by Capcom Sound Team is a powerful and evocative piece that reflects on themes of strength, inner turmoil, and the pursuit of justice. The lyrics convey a sense of struggle and determination, as well as a deep understanding of the consequences and sacrifices that come with seeking vengeance.
The opening lines, "Steel a soul for a second chance, but you will never become a man," suggest that the singer is willing to do whatever it takes to gain another opportunity, even if it means sacrificing their humanity. This highlights the internal conflict they face, torn between their desire for revenge and the realization that it may come at a great cost.
Throughout the song, we see references to the singer's chosen torture, which they believe makes them stronger. This suggests that they have embraced their pain and suffering as a means of personal growth and empowerment. They crave freedom, a life full of purpose, and are determined to see justice served. The mention of the "judgment night" implies that their pursuit of vengeance will culminate in a final reckoning.
The lyrics also touch on the sense of responsibility and duty the singer feels towards those who have suffered. They seek to hear the cries of the victims, to understand their pain, and to deliver retribution on their behalf. They are driven by a righteous cause, a pursuit of justice that dwells within them, and they are willing to go to great lengths to uphold it, even if it means taking countless lives and witnessing the lifelessness that follows.
Overall, "DEVILS NEVER CRY" delves into the complex emotions that arise from seeking vengeance and the internal struggle between one's humanity and the pursuit of justice. It showcases the strength and resilience needed to confront one's demons and the toll it takes on the individual.

@motivation7982
mine is when he descended the tower. It was in that moment that he knew he needed to embrace the power.
"Might controls everything, and without strength, you cannot protect anything. Let alone yourself."
Dante is weaker because unlike Vergil, he didn't embrace his demon side since he hated his father. The thing about embracing his demon side is, the more he wants to be human, the stronger he gets from his demon side (this is actually confirmed in the lore). So when he started embracing his demon side, he became stronger and had a deeper understanding on what it feels like to use it righteously.
"Why did my father give me the rebellion?"
I believe Sparda gave them each the Yamato and the Rebellion is to balance each other out. So if one becomes too power hungry, one is to stop the other. If you would think about it, Rebellion is actually the more dangerous weapon. The sword is capable of absorbing other demons, it can drown out the humanity that is left in Dante. But since he became the good one, he had enough humanity to make sure he can control his demonic side.
The Yamato on the other hand, though incapable of giving you demonic powers as much as you want, is a stronger weapon in general. It cuts through anything like jelly, even space-time itself. The blade is used to open hell gates in DMC 4.
Vergil, like a real brother, gives him a lesson and learns from it thoughout the entire series. A simple quote to turn him into the hero we learn to love.
